I might have gotten a little inspired

The first is.... Reiju beating Zoro up with the choreography of Hit me baby one more time (she might also give him an earful about certain... Topic)

The next two are just some fun with DLC fits ideas (I might paint them later but I ain't making any promise)

The second, well, Ichiji has the money to commission Ace fanmerch, and he has a secret hidden closet full of Ace merch, Reiju helps him sneak out to watch his matches, he gets to indulge in his personal fashion and see his crush while hiding away from his father, he's having the time of his life (and I'm sure that Reiju also chaperones him sometimes + I hope Epony is still around to care for and help the vinsibs)

Now picture - > Ichiji going to watch a match (maybe with Reiju), Sanji and the rest of the gang are also there, Sanji and Ichiji are seated next to each other, but their in their own world so they don't notice, until Ace comes out and Sanji finally notices the looser on his side (and there's his answer for which brother Ace was talking about)

He gets really depressed about having the same taste in men as Ichiji

I dont have much time to do more than this sorry, but i thought it would be cute to do a little smthn smthn with my heart themed au :))

for the last pic im thinking that maybe the first time you try to fight crocodile for plot purposes, its impossible to win and you (luffy) get the shit kicked out of you and then you get expelled. After that, sabo takes luffy to his appartment since he's no longer at his boarding school and ace visits to help with emotional support and planning for the future.

preface: sorry this is so much writing and im not going to grammar check it cuz aint no body got time for that.

The world of this au is like pokemon with different gyms you can fight through and beat, there's a big league of pro fighters, and there are schools for teaching you to be a better fighter.

One of the schools is called the Germa 66 Private Battle Academy, it goes from grades 1-12 and its where the Vinsmoke siblings all went too (at least until sanji broke off from the family at some point) and its run by Judge Vinsmoke, their father.

i am thinking that the Vinsmoke kids would still be genetically modified and Kuma would be a cyborg in this too.

design stuffs:

Ichiji: i tried to make him as punk as he would feasably get away with living under his father's rule. Big "combat" boots, fingerless gloves, black undershirt. He likes his style and would probably go all out if he didnt have to conform to his school uniform, thus i put a little heart on his boots.

Niji: i also made him like his style. The rings on his fingers, his nikes shoes, his big headphones. Like a gamer who thinks this is what fashion is. I think he would love listening to music too so i put his heart on his headphones.

Yonji: big stakly guy. Hes a lot more hands-on than his brothers so i put lots of emphasis on that area. i put his heart on his hand wraps because i think he would really love fighting. I think that Yonji is most like his father in that enjoyment, but i think Judge wouldnt like how casual Yonji's style is.

Reiju: y2k queen. I love this design on her so much im so bummed that she would have already graduated from the academy and i cant put her in a Hit Me Baby One More Time-esque uniform outfit, shed fucking KILL THAT SHITTT. Anyway though, reiju's heart is subtle yet in plain view, the locket around her neck. i dont think she would let anyone look at the contents but i do think that absolutly it would be her mother on one side and her brothers on the other. She wouldnt like people looking at it because that would mean someone could see that her dad isnt in there and she would get it a lot of trouble with her father about it.

Power ranger fits: i made them full on power rangers. its what they deserve. Since reiju has a butterfly motif in canon, i thought it would be fun to also give her brothers a bug motif of their own. ichiji is a wasp, niji is a dragonfly, yonji is a stag beetle. If sanji stuck around, hed probably be a lady bug lol. Also the masks they wear, the eye window part, it’s like tear tracks coming out but in a way that doesnt look like thats what they are. But it’s meant to show how judge forcing his children to be these people is causing them pain.

Doflamingo: i tried to make him a Nasty Nasty man. Like if a used car salesman made it big. Like if Macklemore was MackleMORE. i love the idea that he likes to tan himself, but he doesnt take any of his clothes off to do so, so he just has the absolute craziest tan lines ever. i put his hearts on the gold chain around his neck, he loves his wealth but not much else. i love the idea of him having two very expensive watches on each wrist. there may be more watches up his sleeve too. i also gave him fluffy dice around his neck, like he's one of the cars that he's selling.

Rosinante: i couldnt get away much longer without putting the heart man into the heart 'game'. i couldve went off more with the hearts of his design but i didnt want him to become nearly as flashy as his brother. i wanted him to be understated and fade into the background when doflamingo is around. he is dead in this au btw sorry :/ this is his design when he passed, but doffy's design is present day him. anyway, Rosi's hearts are everywhere, its in the outline of his big huggable fluffy coat, its on his hat thats pulling him down, it would be on his shirt too if it wasnt covered by his coat in this image.

Bonney: SHEEES SO CUUTEEEE AAAAAAAA i love her. I based her design off of Avril Lavigne with her iconic necktie/tanktop/baggy pants looks. i tried to make her outfit look like she could feasibly fit in it when she ages herself up, especially her big ol shoes. the heart in her design is in her neck tie. The stereotypical visage of a dad is a man in a tie who goes to work, and she loves her dad, so her heart is in her dad tie.

Kuma: I didn't change much of him from his design in canon, but since bonney would be more in his life in this version, i wanted to give him more visual indicators of her being there. like the height chart on his leg, or the fuzzy hat she crocheted for him (she also made her own hat for herself). Also, the pattern on his shirt is one that looks like a paw, but if you took off that outer layer, if the pattern continued, the design would be a sun, and i just think that was really clever ehe ehe.

Hancock: Basically i tried to make her the baddest bitch in the universe. My program crashed like 3 times making her which is so funny. Procreate couldnt handle her. I based her design off of Medusa. at first i had her snake be made out of marble, but it eventually wound up at Obsidian. She has no visible hearts on her design and thats because it would be the scar on her back, which she tries to hide. i like the idea that this very visibly revealing outfit would be perfectly tailored and reinforced to never move a single inch to let anyone see what theyre not supposed to. I dont know how i would justify her being able to turn people into stone in this AU, so im just not going to make a decision on whether or not she can do that.

ive been working on these designs off and on ever since i made the first post on this au and im real happy i can finally put more out.

OP Fighting Game AU Gym Leaders

i am not a background artist. but! i can make a MEan mood board, babeyeyyyy!!!!!!!! hopefully this gets across the vibes i have in mind for the gyms.

i tried to find a different lighting idea for all of the different gyms which is a fun idea to think about because of all the fun colors that are used in different ways.

These guys have been changed dramatically from their canon versions by the way, im sure you recognize that. Its really funny imagining people who in the canon story are the worst sentient beings imaginable, being so family friendly in this version. ofc they still beat up teenagers naturally, but everything is very regulated, these people can be trusted around kids.

more ideas and design stuff:

Kuro: his design is left largely the same, sorry i took out his golden mounds of poop on his suit, i forgot about them and dont feel like adding them in. I decided to tie his weird fucking striped shoes in with the rest of his outfit by putting him in a pin-striped suit. his cat design is based off of an oriental shorthair cat because i felt their long limbs tied in very nicely to kuro's whole vibe ehe ehehe :3 kitty :3 speaking of kitties, his big ears/head and his tail are all hearty in shape. because. um. he likes kitty cats :3 and i do too :3333

Enel: i made him a lot more down to earth in this version because he is a gardener :) i may have not had him leaning enough over to correctly show him balancing but whatever, none of you are the balancing police so get off my back okayyyy???? anyway tho, how he fights is that he gains power from the little saplings he sports from his ears and around his back ring thing and uses his lightning rod staff and generally just touching his opponent to unleash the power. When he has the saplings on him, he tries not to touch the ground, otherwise the current would go through him and shock him. He uses the Elastic Aura to help pad the damage but it still hurts him. the reason him standing on his gold staff isnt hurting him in the pic is because the staff has a rubber stopper at the bottom. to help him keep balance and to break up the current. Enel wears a hart hat btw because his gym is generally considered a hazard because it is overrun with plants that can crumble the infrastructure at any time. but its always closely monitored no make sure every weak spot is properly supported. its just for general safety. his hearts are in his plants :) he really likes his plants :))))) can you tell his design is my fav of the bunch.

Arlong: He was a lot of fun to design with his shapes. the idea of him being a mafia themed boss came from me thinking his gym would be set up like a cuphead game, and my friend @fluffyartbl0g suggesting it'd be like the moonshine mob in the cuphead DLC which i LOOVEDDD. And i already had the idea that arlong's whole setup would be a water park, so the idea that sprouted from it would be at the top of each water slide theres like 2 bouncers in full suits getting their "go" through their security ear pieces. which just tickled me to think about. i dont think his design is much anything special, but his complexity comes from his simplicity. His actions speak louder than his fits and thats all he needs. except for money. He loves money ofc. As such, it is in his coin and the shape the dollar bills in his waist band are making. I just HAD to keep in his absolutely disgusting to think about Ring Implants he has too.

they are so gross to think about. nasty nasty man.

General Gym Leader Stuff:

All of the gym leader's places are venues that already have stuff going on in them, and how you get to battle them is you have to make a booking via your school. You can get free admission if you go through your school but if youre Just Some Guy there is a fee.

In many of the gyms, there is typically an audience that comes to see the show, but sometimes, like with Enel's gym, Its not feasible to have bleachers or audience seats in such an unsafe area. and people can watch you at arlong's gym, but youre on rafters and like,, slides and shit so theres not a lot of places they can be to watch. im sure they'd have a live feed though.

Thinking so much about water parks makes me wanna go to one now. those were so much fun.

Misc ideas for the other 4 gyms:

Doflamingo frequently gets phone calls and when he does, one of those pink phones bungees down from the ceiling as he takes the call.

Theres a lot of broken games in the unconventionally taken places in Buggy's festival maze because his maintenance people forget how to get there.

Kid/killer's Monster truck ring is really hard to book a battle for. Such a busy busy arena.

Some more~ i had a lot of fun with these designs <3 (a break down for them under the cut)

Kid and Killer would be two Gym leaders who introduce the idea of Duo battling in the story mode of this hypothetical game. They'd probably be one of the first gym leaders the player would face.

They would enjoy their job of getting to beat up teenagers thoroughly even though they'd have to hold back for the sake of not killing them. (for legal purposes obviously). They Profight on the side to let loose sometimes. To make sure people still know they're dont

Carrot: @majestick-posts-op's design for carrot inspired my design for her, the elbow pads and leg warmers gave me the idea of a roller skater and ideas took off from there! the silhouette of the helmet to match her original silhouette from her bob is a perfect way to keep her original silhouette and have her suLONG hair. For her hearts, i know its obvious but she loves her tutu, she loves her roller skates so the hearts are on those. but if you look closely, there are also hearts on the carrots on her helmet!

Shirahoshi: i was having trouble with her design at first, but then i looked up what kind of fish she's supposed to be and a vision immediately appeared in my head

look at this thing. look at those pathetic eyes. what a creeeeaturee.... so i made her a crereeeaturrreee. The silhouette of her hair loopies and her head is supposed to look like a fish, and the bottom part of her sweater is supposed to also evoke fins/a tail! Her top is meant to reference H2O Just Add Water mermaid tops, and she is all around kinda loosely inspired by MLP:FIS Fluttershy <3 I really tried to make her look kind of regal, with her sheer sweater and long flowing hair. But also i wanted her to have elements pulling her down to earth, like having heir hair all dirty from walking in nature and flip flops to tie in her whole beachy feel. The heart on her design is on her big ol' Nature Club pin on her left chest, even over her heart.

Kid: There's a lot with him that i felt i needed to scrap (Pun Intended.) because i just had no way of incorporating his powers into the power system i have. So i'm thinking instead of metal he can repel and attract, he throws and absorbs cactus's into/from his Big Cactus arm with his Growth, Absorbing, and elastic powers. You can vaguely see his hearts in the pinks of his cactus hand! but the real ting indicating his heart is probably his belt buckle and his neck bandana ;3c

Killer: The whole reason i got the idea to make these two Plants That Hurt is because when i was sketching out the silhouette for killer, i thought i had make his hair kinda sorta look like the mouth of a venus fly trap and my mind was like "Wait. Say That again." so i went off from there! I got the help from my friend @zethsdumpster and their friend who's the local Kid & Killer Thirster and we came up with the idea of them being punk cowboys too! and now here we are <3 Killer's boots are meant to look like terracotta pots and his hat is meant to look like a venus fly trap about to munch on a fly (the white and yellow sash around it). The blades on his gauntlet things, i added a handle part to them to make them look like sickles because sickles are used for gardening and that was really the only way i could tie in whatever the hell those things are to the motifs these two have. Killer's heart if you squint is in the negative space from his choker and open buttoned shirt, the color of the choker being Kid's color EHE HEHEHE EHE EHEH EH EH

YEAH I MADE THEM HOMOSEXUALS WHAT ABOUT IT?!?!??!!? AND WHAT ABOUT IT?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT HUH?!!!!!!!!!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! thats what i THOUGht. its hard to NOT make them homosexuals when what they got going on is what they have going on. ehehehehh hehehh ehehe hHHEHHE h H HA AH AH AH H AHAAAAAA anyway

I bought the game Tiny Glade to make this building layout LOL and i really havent played it since <3 its a lot of fun though, i enjoy their ducks and their sheep :3 though i would appreciate if they added in a copy building option.

The building is inspired by the school buildings in Card Captor Sakura and Ouran High School Host Club! I wanted a really romantic design like a castle to contrast heavily with the Full Colosseum Structure behind it. Though if i could do it differently, i think i would instead put the arena where the track field is instead. but like theres only so much room on a Tiny Glade workspace.

I have been working on inside setting images too but it is. life draining. This is why I'm a character artist not a background designer.

The middle school Carrot and Shirahoshi would go to would be a sister school to the DDBA and would be close by but in a different location.
