well if you don't want your followers deal with it you shouldn't post tagged "anti-stelena" the same way if you search delena on mobile everything tagged with anti-delena will show up if you tag something anti-stelena of course somebody is going to reply. what stelena being over and bamon not happening was to do with damon calling the necklace crappy and old? he did! no he wasn't selfless enough to give the necklace, that's not being selfless, that's being normal to return what is not yours

Okay I tagged it ‘anti-stelena’ because you were being anti-delena and I was contradicting and being anti-stelena. I’m not false advertising, I’m purely saying the post contains anti-stelena content. 

I don’t reply to anti-delena posts when I search delena. I leave it be. Why should you do that?

It has nothing to do with that, it has to do with you arguing over something that has ended ages ago. 

Yes he called it crappy and old. It is. But to him, over the years, it became beautiful because it resembled Elena.

That is being selfless because it was hard for him to do. Giving Elena something (even if he was returning it) that meant something to Stelena, was difficult because he loved Elena. But he respected her, and knew it would mean a lot, so despite the difficulty he did it. He returned it, but he could have just thrown it away due to how much it meant for Elena and his brother. Yes it was selfless.

"I think it was harder in 3x01 for him to give it to her because Stefan was literally gone and he had the chance to try and woo her and shit but he decided to give it to her." So... why Damon said "i thought i could win her from you fair and square?" in 3x15? He just gave one necklace he found on the floor. When someone lost something, it's normal to give them back... He didn't gave because of Stefan. He even told Elena Stefan was never coming back & was making jokes about kissing Elena in 3x02

Okay can we just give up this necklace war? It’s clear it’s a Delena thing so just stop arguing about something you have no point in. 

Yes he did say that. Because that was what he wanted to do. It is normal to return something when someone loses it, but it was difficult for him to do because he loved Elena and it meant something to her from someone else. He did give it because he knew it was what Elena wanted. Whether it was about Stefan or not. It was selfless and difficult for him to do. That’s why it meant so much to Elena.

Don’t matter if he was making jokes. He makes jokes and inflicts sarcasm because it’s his coping mechanism. He though Stefan wasn’t coming back. Once he knew that, he did all he could to bring him back.

Those people who say that the DE necklace is a "disrespectful retcon" are just salty Stelena shippers. They were so overconfident that Stelena would last forever and called us delusional. Now they can't deal with the fact that they were wrong. They don't want to accept that the dynamics between Stefan/Elena and Damon/Elena changed and that the role of the necklace reflected these changes.

anyway haha, I absolutely agree. 

TBH, I don’t understand why they so salty all the time. Like, Stelena has been completely over since 2012/s4. It’s season 8 like get over it. And I know that’s controversial bc so many people are like ‘DE ended in s6 and they aren’t gonna be endgame.’ but honestly, even if Nina don’t come back for 8x16 (I’m gonna cry if she don’t) they already are endgame bc Elena left loving Damon and Damon still loves Elena with all his heart so what are SE and BD shippers even on? 

Especially BD, can I just say, they are relentless. They caught up on a ship that never even happened. Like closest BD ever got was holding fucking hands when they were supposed to die????? come on. 

I kind of get some of SE shippers. Like their ship actually took place at one point but it’s still stupid that they’re praying on us, when our ship is still alive.

So when Elena cried holding her necklace when Damon said Stefan is not coming back, Elena thinks of Stefan or Damon? And when Stefan brokes up with Elena in 3x03 and Elena cries holding her necklace, she thinks of Stefan or Damon? And why Damon said in 3x04 the necklace was about her unbreakable bound with Stefan? I think it became a DE thing when they said 3 SEASONS LATER, that Elena fell in love with Damon, so it became a DE thing in 6x02 not in 3x01. In 2011, the necklace was just about SE.

Okay i’m just gonna start off by saying, no need to be salty. If you think it became a DE thing in 6x02 that’s your opinion but the salt is not necessary and I’m fine with us having different opinions :)

Your using all these scenes from early season three when it died out of being an SE thing. Rly not proving the point. 3x03 and 3x04 was after 3x01, yes, but Elena didn’t realise she made it about her and Damon. She may have been devastated when Stefan broke up with her and held it while she cried, but that doesn’t mean it meant nothing about DE. In 6x02 she realised it was DE thing, but it was a DE thing since 3x01. She knew she loved him then because Damon gave her the necklace that meant something between SE. So then it became DE’s little thing too. Because he was selfless enough to give it to her when he knew it would only bring her closer to Stefan. 

And Damon said that in 4x04 because he knew it meant something for SE. That don’t mean it doesn’t symbolise anything for DE. It was in 2011 that the changeover from SE to DE with the necklace begun. SE ended in 2012 so obviously their bound wasn’t unbreakable…

Damon already gave Elena the necklace in season 1 (" I wanted it to be real") and in 2x08 when he told her that he loves her. So the necklace was not just about SE in the earlier seasons.

I think you’re right tho, it was somewhat DE in earlier seasons and I’m glad that it’s all DE now :))

hello! sorry for bothering you but I saw you were talking about elena's necklace on the delena tag and i was just wondering if you thought it was a DE thing whilst watching season 3 because that's how I saw it when I first watched the series (I started watching pretty late). I felt like that first moment in 3x01 where he gave her the necklace was legit so special and it was so amazing when in 6x02 she said that’s when she knew she loved him! I knew it! I felt it the whole season 3 and I even shipped them way back in season 1. But necklace wise, season three I think made me think it was a DE thing :)
