hey! i'm searching for this ao3 fic abt the mugiwara crew i read some time ago. it's this road trip-esque au abt luffy travelling in some car and picking up his crew from odd places like in canon, but its modern setting. i believe it ends with the crew breaking jinbei out of prison.

have you read and/or remember something like that?

sorry if it's a weird question i'm just super torn up about losing this fic because it gave me a lot of Feelings.

Ooh, I don’t know if I didn’t see this ask or if I just lost track of time. I don’t really know any fic that qualifies, so if anyone does, please leave a reply. Maybe it’s this dystopian, zombie masterpiece, “Deadhouse”, by YamatosSenpai? But it doesn’t really fit the description.

Except there are plenty of road trip kinda things, and prison kinda things, and zombies. And I don’t really read dystopia, but I read this one, and it’s worth it.

It does kinda end with Jinbei though, so it might be your story.

Please read Deadhouse by @yamatossenpai, it’s such a masterpiece!!

It’s a One Piece fanfic, in a Zombie Apocalypse setting, but also so much more! (It’s also, sort of, almost an Ajin AU?) With labrats questing for freedom (and revenge).

I just love the pacing and the gradual unveiling of the plot, it really is so amazing...! It’s long, but so, so worth it! I just had the urge to share the love. xD

I was actually looking for a different scene (the one when Brook calls Luffy and Law siblings, and they realize he’s kinda right??) but then I found this one, and it was more visually interesting to draw, so yeah, that’s the whole reason I picked it.

The last panel is just because that meme popped into my mind when i was drawing that 1st one.

I got a pinched nerve in my neck(horrible terrible incredibly bad times) but!

it was also the perfect time for Deadhouse series

their audio design was almost on pair with how my pain I was in
