Dating while Deaf or HOH
Avoid extremely loud places because you won't hear your date. Avoid extremely quiet places because they will feel the need to speak low due to the environment. Avoid eating all together until after 6-7th date....eating hinders your ability to read their lips. Eye contact is sometimes awkward but...their lips, read their lips...if you're really into them, looking at someone's lips is a sign that means you want to kiss them...if the feeling isn't mutual...just explain to them that you're hard of hearing and you're trying to read their lips. Go to a bar or lounge. It's quiet but not to quiet. Get there just before it gets loud.
