Not Mine. Thought to
i don't know how to keep going in life anymore. everyone says to just live every minute and enjoy the little things, but i can't find anything worth living for in that either, i just want to cry whenever someone says it because i know i'm too useless to even do that, i just keep having problems over problems and nothing ever seems to get better, is this just how the rest of my life is going to be? this miserable?
Hey there,
Life unfortunately can be tough at times and I completely get and understand how hard and frustrating it can be when others tell you to just ‘live every minute and to enjoy the little things in life’ – if only life was that easy!
I do not think you are useless though, it sounds more like you are just feeling really overwhelmed with things you are going through and experiencing in your life right now and as much as this sucks, it’s completely OK too. Everyone has problems that we come across in life from time to time, some more than others and whilst some of us are able to deal with these problems well, others may not be so good. This is nothing to feel bad or embarrassed about though, we are just all different people and deal with things really differently depending on our personalities and how we have been brought up, how we problem solve and that kind of thing.
Have you ever thought about perhaps speaking to a counsellor or a therapist? Sometimes talking to someone like a professional can be really helpful as it’s someone we can confide in, someone to talk to about things we may be struggling with or going through and most importantly, having someone who we can just be ourselves with and be open and honest with without fear of being judged. Also a problem shared is always a problem halved so it can really help to talk to someone about what is on our minds, even if it’s just with a good friend, a family member or another adult we trust and feel comfortable talking with.
I know it might feel like life will never get any better right now and that you may always be miserable, but if you can, just try to take one day at a time. Try not to worry about what may happen tomorrow as tomorrow anything can happen (even something good) so try to just focus on the here and now and what you have to do to get through the day!
I really hope that this has helped a bit and please know that I am thinking of you!
Take care,
Lauren
I am thinking about playing sims some... I am not sure though...need some inspiration or motivation.
Rejoicing in God in the Arena of Pain God hasn’t promised that His children won’t go into the valley of the shadow of death. He promised that we will never go alone. In this brief clip from his series Dealing with Difficult Problems, R.C. Sproul considers suffering in the life of a Christian.
Everyone’s always screaming into the void so now I shall softly whisper into the void, “I love you.”
