to not translate it. Just include a translation guide at the back of the book like they do for honerifics and other japanese stuff. It works in the anime where they dont tl it-but bc we as english speakers already have implicet biases about the terms "top" and "bottom" it paints the wrong picture in our eyes-or at least a picture with the wrong nuance
Also like- myaa explains what seme and ukes are in CHAPTER ONE!!! its not even like the audience would need to check the back of the book to understand because theyre told in text!! How could anyone have possibly decided it was a good idea to NOT use the terms seme and uke???? Im going insaneeeeee
Like, in chapter 36, where myaa reacts to an unexpected kiss by saying (in the english manga) "im not a bottom." I trust you understand how fucking WEIRD that is! But it would make sense if they kept it as "im not an uke" (what he says in the english dub) bc that has different nuances!! Oughhhhhhhh

no no that makes a lot of sense!!! ya no cuz them translating it like that is confusing cuz i genuinely just thought that’s what it meant, so thx for clearing that up
