I love how Dean’s always trying his best. Always trying to do better, to make amends, to keep his family together and trying his best to give whatever he can to his family. - this was a beautiful gesture.

like. i get it now. i get it. if you start talking about heteronormativity re: jack FUCK you i hate you he is their little baby. he’s the world’s first gay baby. and he is being raised by an angel who decided to be a gay man and above that a gay FATHER and a human man who has to look at the way his shitty dad shaped him and brace himself for busting his way out of that mold because when he rests in it comfortably his BABY looks at him with hurt in his eyes. he does not get to decide whether or not to be a father but he DOES get to decide if he wants to be a bad father (easy) or good father (hard). and he chooses the hard option because he loves cas’s baby
