"You did all this for me?"

A/N: I HATE to be that person that leaves a picture of n outfit rather than just trying to describe it but..... here. Also, I’m sorry, but Dean is my man and I might have gotten a little carried away- I didn’t MEAN for it to turn out this long, okay?
You startled awake, your ringtone playing loudly through your phone, waking you from your slumber. You flinched back as the bright light of your phone screen attacked your retinas. Squinting through the light, you smiled as the familiar photograph of your boyfriend appeared on your screen, the name "Dean" written over it in fluorescent white lettering.
Pressing the call button you brought the phone to your ear.
"Hello?" you mumbled sleepily, rubbing the bleariness from your eyes and sitting yourself up against your headboard.
"Did I wake you?" His gruff voice expelled from the speakers, and you could hear the soft rumble of the impala in the background.
"Yeah, but that's okay." You yawned.
"I'm sorry, I've been driving all night and Sammy's asleep. I thought maybe we could talk for a little. I'll let you rest." He said, though there was a hint of disappointment in his tone, and you could definitely hear the exhaustion.
"No, no! It's fine, really. I miss you, I wanna talk." You said, and he sighed deeply.
"I miss you too, baby. But good news is, at the rate we're going, we'll be back late tomorrow afternoon." He said, and you smiled widely.
"Good, it's lonely here." You said.
"Well, it won't be anymore. Get ready when I get home, we're going on a real, proper, normal date." He said, and you heart leapt.
"Seriously?!" You exclaimed, and he chuckled.
"Seriously. We've been dating for too long for me to not have taken you on one. I'm going to make that right." He said, and you couldn't help but agree with him. Dean and you had been dating for about half a year now, since he had saved you from a pack of vampires.
You had nothing tying you down, no one to notice if you left, and you hated your job anyways, so once you knew the supernatural were something out in the world, you wanted to do something about it.
So Dean and Sam agreed to take you with them, and of course, Dean used his cheesy pickup lines and effortless swagger to get into your pants, and for the first time since... For the first time in a long time, something just clicked with Dean, and you didn't just feel like some one night stand to him.
Maybe it was the fact that you took the news of the supernatural being real in stride, or that as soon as you found out all you wanted to do was protect people from it. Or maybe it was the way you sung off key to his music in his car, or the way you smiled, or the sound of your laugh- regardless, he was falling for you, wether he realized it himself or not.
But it was due time for him to take you on a date, and thats exactly what he was gonna do.
“What should I wear? Should I dress up?” You asked, and he chuckled at your excitement.
“Nothing too extravagant, but I wouldn’t object it a little bit of dollin’ yourself up. You deserve that.” He said, and you sighed, a sad smile on your lips.
“We deserve that, Dean.” You paused. “The both of us.”
You talked for a little while longer, keeping his company on his lonely drive, until you couldn’t hide your yawn any longer, and Dean insisted that you get some sleep- you had a big day ahead of you.
All day you waited for Dean, unable to contain your excitement. You had changed your dress just about four times- it wasn’t that you thought Dean wouldn’t like it, or that you even cared that much, but this was your first real date with him- you didn’t wanna just look beautiful, you wanted to feel beautiful too.
You finally accomplished that with a little black cocktail dress that clung to your curves in all the right places. It had black lacy sleeves, a hollow cut out over your chest to give your just enough cleavage to feel sexy, at the same time keeping it classy.
You paced back and forth in the library, half anxious, half excited, your matching black heels clacking against the cold concrete flooring. Finally you heard the sound of the bunker door unlocking, before swinging open.
Dean was already in his suit, and he had a bouquet in his hands. You smiled widely- he hadn’t quite noticed you yet, as he was talking to Sam over his shoulder.
“I’m telling you dude, shut the hell up.”
“I’m serious, quit trying to deny it Dean you lo-”
Whatever Sam was about to say was cut off, as you just about knocked Dean over when you jumped up to hug him.
“H-Hey baby! It’s good to see you.” He said, wrapping his arms around you tightly, reveling in the feeling of having you close to him again.
“I missed you.” You said, voice muffled in the crook of his neck.
You pulled back, staring into his eyes.
“I missed you too.” He mumbled, before pulling you in for a kiss.
You were just about to get to the good part, before Sam cleared his throat awkwardly behind Sam.
You pulled away breathlessly, turning to him, Dean frowning, annoyed.
“Sorry Sam.” You said, rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly. Sam chuckled, shaking his head.
“It’s fine. I’ll leave you two to it then, I just want a welcome back hug first and I’ll be on my way.” He said, and you smiled as he enveloped you in his large, comforting arms. You had to admit, Sam had become like a brother to you- you missed him a hell of a lot as well.
He kissed you on the top of the head, before mouthing ‘good luck’ to Dean, making his way out.
You turned back to Dean, and it was then that he really saw you for the first time.
His mouth hung open for a moment, before letting out a whistle.
“You look... gorgeous. No, gorgeous doesn’t even cover it, you look...” Unable to find the right word, Dean just let out another whistle. You giggled, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear.
Your eyes glanced down to the bundle of roses in his hand, and it was then that Dean seemed to remember he had them.
“Oh! Oh yeah, I got these for you.” He said, holding them out to you.
You smiled coyly, bringing them to your nose, taking a whiff.
“They’re beautiful, Dean.” You said, staring down at them fondly.
He smiled, holding his hand out to you.
After you had placed the flowers in a vase on your dresser, Dean had remained adorably chivalrous- holding the door open for you, holding your hand instead of your thigh during the ride- it was a refreshing change.
Finally, you pulled up to a little clearing in the middle of nowhere, and Dean quickly unbuckled himself, giving you a kiss on the hand. “Wait here.” He said, and you furrowed your brow, watching as he hopped out of the car and walked to the trunk, pulling out something you couldn’t see.
You waited for about five minutes, until your door swung open, Deans hand extending to help you out.
You smiled, leaning foreword to peck him on the lips.
“Come on.” he whispered, before turning and walking you towards the front o the impala.
Your eyes widened, a gasp escaping from your lips.
There, in the middle of the field, Dean had set up a table, with candles, and flowers and wine glasses- it was beautifully executed, as though he had plucked a table setting from a fine dining restaurant and placed it here, in this beautiful field under the stars.
“You did all this... for me?” you breathed, and Dean chuckled.
“Who else would I have done it for?” He asked, and you shook your head, turning and pulling him in for a passionate kiss.
Dean pulled back a moment later though, brushing a strand of hair from your face and staring into your eyes.
“Come on, this is supposed to be a real date- we can have sex after.”
Your eyes widened, and you laughed wholeheartedly.
“Holy shit! Do my ears deceive me, or did the Dean Winchester just say he’d like to wait for sex?” You asked, and Dean shook his head, a smile on his face.
“Shut up.” he said. “Because just because I don’t want it now, does not mean I will not deliver later.”
And Dean always kept his word- sometimes even six times over. In the back of the impala.
