Makes me mad that Dean McKinnon doesn't even hear Bree out about Norris and then immediately slams her by putting her "disrespectful" behavior on her mother's death. Imagine assuming your "potential for brilliance" student would act that way and then have the audacity to tell her the cause of her actions like
It was oddly satisfying to see Deputy Norris get humbled by a pair of teenagers. There was no reason for him to take Alice and Bree, except to prove a point, as far as I could tell. If he let Charlotte off, and Charlotte was their ride, why not just let her take them back? Creepy ass man
Also, Charlotte, you are the reason they are in this mess, why not try to stand up for the EC kids YOU brought with you? Why would let them get taken away and not go with them? Your boyfriend can take your Jeep back? She pissed me off.
I don't know how I feel about Selwyn or Tor just yet, but they do serve cunt, so they are passable in my book right now.
Now- I do keep in mind that both Alice and Bree are 16 at the start of all this. I know your emotions do run high and teens get irritated real easy. But, I don't think Alice had much of a right to be angry at Bree. ESPECIALLY when she didn't seem to put as much blame on Charlotte outwardly enough for me.
Because, firstly, Bree was looking for Alice and trying to make sure that she was safe when things went left. There is always the case of magical interference stopping Alice from trying to get to Bree, or even Charlotte keeping Alice from going back into the woods, but when they finally reunited- Alice seemed less interested in checking to see if Bree was okay. It seemed like Alice had more or less already cut her losses and was committing to being angry at her.
Yes, for Alice, she had been panicking since they had gotten to Eno Quarry. She already was assuming the worst, and the worst had happened. She was being driven in a cop car back to her dorm. To her- her world is shattering. But, that is incredibly unfair to pin all of your frustrations on your best friend. Especially when, she didn't try to pressure you into going.
And, the argument when they exited the Dean's office was actually so frustrating. Alice already has come to her own conclusion about Bree and is clearly running with it- not letting her get a word in, edge wise. The way Alice phrased herself in this argument, it feels as if Alice had been placating Bree this whole time, and now she's letting all this resentment spill. Again, very unfair to Bree. Carolina is her dream, and she just lets Bree staple herself on- but it doesn't seem like Alice really understands Bree's motivations or reasonings, and maybe didn't even bother asking.
I hope they do reconnect, because Bree needs more support here. She definitely cannot be alone right now.
