I finally found a series to kinda fill the void Bone Season left behind and it’s Legendborn. The vibes are similar and Bree is about as reckless and stubborn as Paige, they both stressing out everyone around them. I love both my girls so much

The scene where bree tells mariah and zoe about the burning of her ancestral plane broke my heart the first time and broke it again on my second read.

"That makes me wonder if i'm worth other people's worry" - I literally want to give her a hug so bad 😔. She deserves so much and i'm glad by the end of the book she starts realizing shame and guilt aren't helping anyone and that her loved ones choose to put themselves in danger for her because they care so much about her and that it's alright to put yourself first sometimes. It's only a start tho
