Like even simple things like actually putting what the game is in titles like jacksepticeye's "saddest game ever" is so nice

I really do appreciate the idea behind DeArrow but I really wish it had a block button because some of these people should not be writing titles. Like,

Is it really that bad to phrase a title as a question?

Putting more details in the title doesn't actually improve it

FreeTube is saving my life right now thanks to someone's suggestion on here. if youtube is pissing you off, look into it... it does everything you'd want from a video player with no fuss. It even has my two favorite youtube extensions built in: DeArrow and SponsorBlock. Also download LibRedirect and if you still want to browse youtube like normal or you are sent a video link, you can right-click and select the option to redirect to the video in a new tab with no ads

I am not an expert in these types of things, just a fed up youtube user and these solutions seem to really work.

Dearrow is so goofy though, like I'll see a dearrowed thumbnail and like it will make me want to watch the video and so I add it to my playlist for later, but then when I go into the playlist and see the actual thumbnail, like I wouldn't be interested if it had that thumbnail.

this is why you want thumbnails that accurately depict the content of the video people.

DeArrow is the best Youtube add-on, and I'm glad I spent the dollar on it. It's by the same dev as SponsorBlock, and it does the following:

-Decapitalizes video titles

-Fully changes the title to reflect the contents of the video (based on community review)

-Removes emojis from video titles

-Changes the video thumbnail to something more representative of what's actually in the video

Some of the video title changes have been the bare minimum simple accessibility changes I've been begging for from hosts forever, like putting the game/movie name as the first element of the video title and leaving the stupid additional comment to get mangled by the text overflow.

You can customize and whitelist as needed in the add-on settings.
