Why is the little girl's sense of smell soo good? Is it because both smells were dead bodies? Or is this just a plot discontinuity? The eighth circle of hell. Audio not syncing up. Most definitely. my personal resolution for this is that the creature was a collection of whispermen outside of their weird cloth suits, but yes, there’s a difference between ambiguity & dropping a plotthread without ever returning to it & listen was the latter
