Okay, if you’re familiar with my page, you’ve seen my posts about Ghostbur and his individuality compared to our other deceased members. (Glatt, Mexican Dream, and Tommy [pre revival])

TLDR version if you haven’t seen those posts: Glatt and MD didn’t act different than their living counterparts. And we never got a chance for GhostInnit to be a thing. Meanwhile Ghostbur was insistent he wasn’t Alivebur, didn’t act like him really. Etc….

So, You could make the argument that Ghostboo is just like Ghostbur in that regard. He’s clearly not exactly our Ranboo.

However!

Counterpoint:

You could literally just look at Ghostboo as what Ranboo would’ve been like if we saw him communicate more often in the Enderwalk state.

Remember how Ranboo described the enderwalk?

-Him with all his memories

-caused by intense emotions

I’d say Ghostboo would check those boxes.

He said he remembers everything, and I’d say that being executed over Dream escaping would be a pretty traumatic experience. Very intense; adrenaline pumping, worried about Michaels safety, trying to get techno to understand why you aren’t fighting back.

I’m just saying… it’s something to consider. I’ve been fascinated with the implications of ghostburs individuality (I do recommend my previous posts about him, the details are really interesting), so I started thinking about how Ranboo/Ghostboo would fit in the dynamic we are familiar with in the Lives system/limbo.

My Death system in lore

so this is basically just a run down of the death system in my verse, and if you like it and want more I can write more

So after the mortals death there souls are taken out of their bodies and out onto a plane of existence between life and death, they are put in the most fit form of themselves and they have one goal.

Find. The. Body.

So there body is teleported anywhere in the world at least for them, meaning it can end up in water and it normally does due to just his much there is. While they are running to find their body they are being hunted by the grim reaper whose task is to reap their soul.

if the soul is able to reach their body before the grim reaper catches them they are able to live again for about thirty ish years depending on the species.

if the reaper catches them however their soul is given one wish which does mean they are allowed to wish for another chance at life like reincarnation or going back to their body, but they can’t wish for immortality or semi-immortality due to their souls not being able to hold that, and if they choose to wish for another chance then that is the only wish they get for that soul.

of course the souls don’t have to make the wish right then and there and most save their wish until they find something they feel is important.

Once they are dead they go to the area between heaven and hell and go to where they are supposed to be depending on if they were a good or bad person

don’t worry about the actually body, in the living world it stays in the same place it was in when it died and while it may feel like minutes or hours when the soul is running it’s just a second in the living world

There is other stuff in my death system but that would make it extra complicated so I’m not gonna write it

Just a cool head-canon i though about,

when trying to “canon kill” someone, there would be a “murderous glow” on the weapon and/or you to show that: yes i fully have the intention of taking one of your canon lives.

That would explain why Sapnap lost a canon life during the battle of the lakes when no one else did or during dooms day when Techno was murdering tommy a bunch of times

I would also explain why they are so nonchalant about falling of a cliff or prank killing each other
