Unironically, a fascinating way to have a secret code nowadays is to write in cursive. I’m shocked by how many of my classmates not just struggle with but straight up can’t read a single word of my notes (100% of them.)

I’m not sure why I’m so surprised because I was one of them six months ago (I took up cursive to help with dyslexia and it’s a game changer) but I thought I was just an outlier being exceptionally bad at reading it.

Now that I write in it exclusively I’ve come to realize literally no one reads this anymore. I’m writing a different language to them.

Absolutely!

It’s not the neatest cursive after 6 months of self teaching, but my spelling is levels a magnitude better. Also I can take notes at least 3-4 times faster during lectures, with the ability to read them later (many MANY times I’d get home and be unable to read my lecture notes due to misspellings.)

I am so impressed that writing in cursive makes you not only write faster but also spell better !!!!

In France, they force you to learn cursive in primary school. Very fun but my wrist hurt after a while.
