For the last two weeks, Botan just hasn't been feeling herself. She's nauseaus all the time, requesting easy meals like soup and white rice from Yusuke. She's tried a few different herbal remedies, thinking that maybe she's just coming down with something but nothing seems to clear it up. On top of that, she's more tired than usual with frequent body aches, especially in her breasts. And, strangely, she feels extra attached to Yusuke. While she's pretty affectionate normally, now it's like she gets anxious being away from him, only soothed when his arms are around her, noticing more than ever how he smells like the woods and the spices he uses to cook. She's been trying to go about life as usual, hoping this would pass, but it's becoming increasinly clear that something is wrong. Curled up against him, Botan burrows against his chest. "Mm, maybe I should go into town and see the doctor... I don't get sick very often but maybe I caught something."
Yusuke’s out in the wilderness, looking to grab some more herbs hoping that it would help. This time he’s traveled farther than ever before but no where is too far when it came down to Botan’s health. Knowing she would possibly be too ill to make the trip into town he decided to make the run all the way to Ezo, into their fields to gather the mint plants physically and placed them into one of her bags strapped against him. Once he picked enough, Yusuke made the dash back home.
Gone for most of the day and was back by the time the afternoon had rolled in. Transforming back to normal and getting dressed in the meantime, he’d peek into her bedroom and was greeted by a hug..she’s been extra affectionate as of late..not that he minds, because it’s nice being around her like this. He’d even smile, wrapping his arms around her and holding her quite close. “Don’t think ya need to.” Yusuke said, sniffing her.
“You don’t smell sick..I can’t explain it but whenever you’re sick or you know during that phase of the month I can hone in on the scent pretty well. In fact..speaking of which..havent caught a scent of that kinda blood from you either. Maybe you are sick.” He concluded mostly because he was..worried for her. “I’ll wear a straw hat so no one would recognize me because you’re not going into town alone..” What he’d like to say had it not been for the village’s mystical ward that weakens supernatural creatures.
