IT IS HAPPENING PEOPLE!
For someone’s whose whole profile is designed off of Deborah, I don’t actually like her that much. I adore the D3B/Apple II aesthetic, I loved watching her move with all the little D 3 B making up her, it’s insanely cool.
I do wish to learn more about her, and in relation, Nelson. The two of them are both manipulative, just in their own way. Deborah manipulated the 863 crew lives, she also most likely stalked them to make sure everything was going to plan. Nelson on the other hand straight up mind controls people. I don’t see either of them as good people, while Deborah is better than Nelson, she isn’t good.
Also Deborah is the only character I could make an aesthetic profile out of. I mean I could use the Phantom / Benjamin, but I didn’t want to be red and emo.

Project: 863 Moodboard
I personally think that Deb and Nelson are siblings or cousins and grew together, which is why her last name is always redacted. She knew that her subjects wouldn't trust her if they knew her last name was the same as the man she needed them to take down.
i’ve always had the theory that deb and nelson are siblings and that added to the tension of their relationship. this kinda stemmed from some of the apple II chats and how nelson talks about her to wesley as if he knows her better. they give sibling energy to me!!!
like imagine you join your brother’s biotech company only to see him spiral into a madman who kills and literally tortures people in the name of achieving his absolute goal
i’d crash out personally……..
“You Tricked Me..” (Animation)
Since we didn’t get a new chapter this week, I’ve made a little animation of Deb, Syphus, and Matt.
Hope y’all like this one.

i always debated with myself if nelson was this cruel pre-syntec or not:
what makes the most sense to me is that the manipulative and calculating traits he displays in 863 were always there, but the power that being an owner of an up and coming successful biotech company gave him an outlet for his inner feelings to truly come out.
he and wesley went to harvard together (i’m pretty sure it was just them i don’t think deb went?) and came off as very close - you don’t just offer to start a company with a random person. yet wesley always seemed to have a very positive view of him despite what he actually was like.
i believe that either nelson hid his personality well, or wesley looked at him with rose-coloured glasses. it took an awful long time for wes to actually believe deb about what his true intentions with syntec were even when deb said that nelson literally handed her a gun and told her to kill him.
in general he comes off as very pretentious and thinks of himself as the best person in the room even when he is actively losing like at the end of season 3. this behaviour could link back to him attending harvard, which probably enlarged his ego significantly tbh.
i hate nelson but also he’s very interesting because i feel as if he had to have some underlying problems with control pre-syntec to be able to hide ALL of this while being celebrated in the community.
