Tell me everything you like about Dexson and debster
for me it kind of all comes down to how not normal they are but how normal they seem to think they are. There's just a level of devotion and codependency in both of those ships that I really enjoy. And a lot of parallels actually - "you're all I have" comes to mind a lot.
I also really like the manipulation and grooming aspect of dexson, I like how fucked up their dynamic can be. It does annoy me when people act like debra being in love with dexter came out of nowhere when there is absolutely incest between them from a very early point of the show. There's a blurring of boundaries they try to hide behind their traumas and both of them being "protective" siblings when it comes across more like jealousy. I feel the same way about dexson, people ignore what's already there in canon because it makes them uncomfortable but it absolutely is emotional incest.
