-my first EP from 2019, a messy, weird total DIY electrofolk album with a few dark bangers and some total nonsense. My faves are Bedroom Dynasty and Demons
-8 bonus tracks including early versions and mixes of Manic Pixie Dream World tunes, an ad for a clown dating service, an outtake with bad singing, and possibly an unfinished electro cover of a famous grunge band that you are NOT allowed to tell anyone about because I am not sure it's legal or not. Hint: involves grandparents.
This was fun to compile and take a trip down memory lane. Hearing the early mixes of MPDW songs reminded me of where my head was at in those days, the ambition and drive, the first real recovery from an accident I didn't yet realize had changed my personality and damaged my music skills*, and the start of my gender fuckery. The way I channeled my traumatic stint in Montreal and struggles with chronic pain, ptsd and addiction. The set is a really fascinating portrait of my early ambitions for the project and how they interacted with my status as an artist still growing and experimenting.
