i have a love/hate relationship with this ship and i tall about it quite a lot on my personal blog. while o prefer it over chrom/robin, it has the same problems as chrom/robin where lucina is portrayed in a negative light where she can’t do anything and has to have robin save her and the same tired and melodramatic plots are used.

of course not all fans are like this ( i like to think i was very balanced with happiness and angst for these two when i wrote for them ). i’ve read a few cute robin/lucina stuff where all character were ic, robin wasn’t better than lucina for being a man, etc.

as i said, not all fans are like this but sadly the loudest and obnoxious fan for this ship makes people think negatively of this ship because they’re a sexist person who probably self-inserts himself as robin.

i honestly only can ship these two when they’re siblings because their non-sibling supports are so fucking god awful that it makes my skin crawl. like i feel as though inigo??? ignored lucina’s feelings??? and didn’t really give her any time and forced her to be happy. like dude you are going into territory that you should stay out of.

i get that he was trying to make her happy but if he really wanted her to be happy, then he would have considered her feelings and thought “maybe i should stop the first time she told me to stop”.

as siblings, he has a better understanding of her and knows what sets her off, what makes her happy, etc. this goes for lucina too - she knows what sets inigo off, what makes him happy, etc.

this is probs my otp for lucina. i think the s support was weak and could have been written better ( and god why did the localization of the game have to include that line about “their parents tying the knot”. get that shit out of there i don’t want to fucking marry chrom and his flat ass ).

morgan did his best to try and give lucina advice about her nightmares and stuff like that because he really did want to help her!! and they’re just so cute and fluffy

i used to not really ship them but then i reread their supports and i was like “dang…. he really respects her…. and she really wants to help him…. and she did help him….” and i think they’re p cute!

this pairing gets so much hate idk why like wtf their supports are a tad boring but that’s the only crime it has….?

one of the haters said gerome caused lucina’s self destructive behavior and im like “UM. NO. I’M PRETTY SURE GRIMA DID. GEROME DIDN’T KILL HER FAMILY”.

Well that game must've tuckered the fellow out more than he thought. He just lets him rest there for a while, before trying to gently wake him so Kaworu could get to his actual bed.
