Peter Parker who lets himself be seen as this nerdy, slightly self-conscious, anxious person. Peter Parker, who has been acting ever since middle school, because he refused to be seen as an egotistical 'genius'. Peter Parker, who, after meeting Tony, lets some of his confidence shine - and that shine only grows brighter as he becomes Tony's mentee, and starts properly learning the ropes around Stark Industries, starts meeting the interns, starts being introduced as Tony's Personal Intern, starts being taught everything there was to know in order to take over the company, eventually.
And then, his Decathlon team win nationals, or something, and they win a field trip to Stark Industries - and Tony tells him this is good, because;
"Peter, you're confident and brilliant, and I want to show them that you aren't someone they can walk all over. I want you to show them just how capable you are."
And Peter decided, fuck it.
FRIDAY greets him as "Mini-Boss," and declares his level 10 access to all of Stark Tower. Every single intern the team sees that day greets Peter with a grin, asking for his help on some equation or other, and Peter willingly helps. He's asked about a proposal for a project, and hands the intern his card, telling them he'll fund it with his own paycheck if he has to, because it could be something great.
Throughout the day his classmates and teacher(s) see a new side of Peter Parker. The confident, brilliant, 'takes-no-shit' side. They realise that, yes, while Peter is smart, he wasn't going to be one of the greats.
He already was.
