lily cares about raven more than anyone. just recently, for example, with making raven southeast asian --- i’m so glad lily talked through a lot of her process, not because i feel like she needed to defend it, but because it showed me how personal and deeply thought through the decision was. she engages with raven on so many levels... canon, fandom, the intersectionality of the mutant world, the intricacies of personality... and she puts every ounce of herself into it. i’m blessed to see that kind of dedication.

sam loads so much detail into her characters, holy shit. i know seraphina is canon-based (heck, i think we started talking because as soon as i read the goc books, i started making edits with sam’s fc), but sam takes the mythology and delves in. she makes it hers without ever seeming to force anything. and this goes for naia, too! i admire how much work sam puts in, and at the same time, her portrayals feel so natural. they have history. from the moment she introduces them, it’s like they’ve been in your life forever.
