Y'all honestly I know this is old news but I'm obsessed with how the fight scene between The Teenagers is orchestrated in the first episode of Arcane.

I love how it really doesn't show it to be a glamorous or exciting action sequence, the inherent suffering and desperation of these CHILDREN is made painfully apparent as they wound one another over scraps.

We see Vi and Deckard, the "leaders" of their respective groups, going head to head, and even though Vi dominates in the fight, we see that Deckard hurts her, that these kids are wounding each other.

With Claggor, we see him, as the largest and strongest, take on two other kids at once, but he isn't really portrayed as a "tank" in this scenario, the two kids he's fighting get the upper hand over him a couple times, and juggling between them both is clearly difficult. Plus the fact that he's established as a very gentle and nonconfrontational character, watching him throw sand in another kid's eyes to protect himself, and bludgeoning someone in the stomach who he has in a headlock is just painful

Then there's Mylo, who consistently performs poorly in the fight, managing to land some hits but being shown to be slammed around. At the end of the fight, he's pinned down having his face bashed in when Claggor or Vi (I can't remember) knocks the assailant off of him. It does add some legitimacy to his gripe with Powder, since she allowed her siblings to take the heat of the fight without helping, unwilling to be hurt in the same way he had been.

Then from Powder's POV, seeing how terrifying and overwhelming it all is, it just does such a phenomenal job establishing this setting and these characters and I love it.

like i said before, i'm showing my sister arcane, here are some of her thoughts (we just finished ep 2):

she's not vibing with vi (haha vibing with vi)

"it's hard to look at heimerdinger"

"marcus is a bitch"

mylo gets on her nerves

like i said in the linked post, benzo and vander give off boyfriend/fwb vibes (specifically from the "above average" comment)

her ranking of the 5 kids (1. powder 2. claggor 3. ekko 4/5. vi and mylo (it flip flops depending on the scene) we counted ekko because...we felt like it)

"vander's better than me cause 'get the f out of my bar.' go drink somewhere else, oh wait, you can't"

"almost the whole council is a bitch. specifically the one with the ginko nuts"

the way they look unnerves her (like the way they look/are designed (ex: silco and singed) and especially the way they move)

"deckard is a bitch"

"viktor, don't sneak up on someone like that. 'oh am i interrupting?' YES"

she had a slight concern about caitlyn and jayce's age gap

"poor powder at the end with the thingy and good direction of vander's face of noticing the thingy" (by thingy she means the stuffed animal)
