A roguelike rpg with deckbuilding as the fighting mechanic. Every time you have to fight an enemy you draw a random selection of cards from your deck, and the actions you get to perform that round will depend on the cards you drew. Some cards will allow you to attack, block or heal, but there will also be cards that allow you to flee, to distract them, to attempt to bribe or befriend your opponent, or to give them food or trinkets as presents. Every time you win a battle, you will get to pick one of three cards to add to your deck. The more battles you win, the more cards you'll get, but if you die, your deck will be set back to it's initial basic state, and you'll have to go back to battling weak enemies to build your deck again before you're ready to face stronger enemies or the BBEG (you won't lose progress in the story, though). You can beat the game by doing Soulless, Neutral or Pacifist Routes: maybe you want to fight your way out of battles every time you get fighting cards, or perhaps you want to attempt a pacifist playthrough and don't want to harm anyone. You can also invent your own Routes: maybe you want to beat the game by defeating every enemy with the power of your puns, or by befriending or seducing everyone, or by winning them over with their favorite foods.
