I don't think I'll ever regret the time I've spent learning Latin.

That may sound odd, but every so often I'll wonder "What if you spent your time in college taking Spanish, French, Italian, something that may aid you in your travels?" But then I'll remember that with Latin I can experience the world of those who have passed hundreds of years ago a bit more personally. There's a beauty in that which I have a difficult time explaining, but I imagine that many of you can relate since this language is no easy task and definitely takes a level of patience that can only be fueled by actual appreciation of the Latin authors themselves. 

So thank you for being a wonderful reminder that so many others are staring at one sentence for an hour thinking "how the hell can I know what every word means but NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THIS SAYS."
