after reading about the lore in the dragon prince official website

i now know that magical creatures with a connection to the primal source of earth are connected to the earth through either

flora and fauna

gems and minerals

and we know Ezran has a special connection to animals. fauna. therefor i belive he has the potential of becoming a mage even more powerfull then Claudia or even Viran and will ultimately be the one to end the war not by force but by using all his might to create a peaceful solution and command respect from both sides of the conflict.

So dark sides and all that

I feel like there are two ways my idea can go.

Either there is one dark side who is the anti to both logan and patton. (This is based on the color theory.) This dark side is irattional and tempermental. We'll call him impulse for the time being.

But if you really wanna know the kind of things he does, his behavior and his role, lets talk about my other theory.

Dark!Logan and Dark!Patton.

Say that both Logic and Morality turned into dark sides.

Theres already this wonderfull fanart of Logan as Wrath and its a commonly accepted theory.

But then what would that make patton?

Well, he is morality, but also emotions. So what happens when you get too emotional about immorality? When the injustice around you makes you mad? When you are wronged what else would you seek

If not

Vengeance?

If Wrath is loud and demanding and ready to fight, then Vengeance is quiet and patient and calm, observing and plotting. Wrath is fire and explosions, Vengeance is a cold breeze slowly taking over the entire room and making chills run through your spine.

So what do you get when you mix fire and ice together like that?

A shock to your system, like lighting.

Electricity.

Thats exactly what impulse brings to the table. His desicions are fast and demanding, and he hits unexpectedly, stealing your attention and ignoring him is pretty hard.

And much like actual lightning and electricity, he's quite dangerous.

Anyway thats just my idea.

And now that ive had a proper freakout

I wanna talk about the dark sides for a minute, because i have some ideas thanks to the new episode.

Going by the color theory but also my own theory that the dark sides are oppisite to one side but a twisted version of another side-

Wrath and Hunger

Wrath is the orange side, he is logan's oppisite, feelings over facts, rage that blinds you to reason, he wants whats right but he doesnt care how the goal is achived. Like the other dark sides, a little of him is useful, nessecery even, but too much and well...just look at logan. He lashes out trying to prove he's not a joke and only ends up making an argument for the oppisite. But he is still in a way, morality. He's fury over injustice happening, and he refuses to wait around or calmly debate or ask nicely.

Call me crazy but i think Thomas does a pretty good job of ignoring him.

Then theres Hunger.

Belive it or not he is the oppisite of Roman, despite everything about him seeming like a twisted version of patton. He is vain and self involved and wants what he cant have but unlike roman he doesnt let go, he never lets go, no amount of logic can make him. He is actually a twisted version of anxiety. You know when you worry youre not good enough dor your friends? And then this evil little brain goblin goes "i hate them for being better than me" even tho you dont hate them, youre just jealous.

Jealousy, envy, greed, pride, its all a part of hunger. Everyone wants what they cant have. But Roman only wants the best for Thomas. He wants to acheive thomas's dreams, not whatever he's craving at the moment. Hunger is a powerful distraction but it is just that, a distraction.

(For the record, Deceit being Patton's oppisite makes sense in this theory because he is very much a twisted version of logan. Intelligent but manipulative, smart but obscures the facts as he sees fit. After all deception is about having the knowledge and choosing how much of it to share and how.)

And just as a little sidenote, what if hunger is the dragon witch?

Anyway its pretty obvious Thomas hardly ever listens to these sides if they exist.

But that might change if Logan and Roman keep treating Patton like this.

He might have to make a deal with a certain dark side.

A point i havent seen anyone make yet, maybe cuz im looking way too much into a silly joke

In can lying be good, roman says "lying can mean 🎵the beeest of both worlds! So joan wont feel low, because we werent at their show.🎵" Which obviously is a hanna montana refrence. Which is funny i guess. But then, as i always do, i started really thinking about it, and then it hit me.

Hanna montana, the series as a whole, is an excellent example of how much lying can take a toll on you, how once you start you can never truly stop lying unless you come clean. Youre always gonna have to tell more lies to cover up your previously told lies.

And, about midway through the last season, we see how much this negatively affected miley throughout her life. We've seen glimpses and hknts of it in pretty much every episode of the series, sure, but its the two parter in the middle if the last season that really focuses on the issues this causes her. She cant do it anymore. And in this two parter, she decides to come clean, to tell the truth. She wants the cycle of lying to stop.

She reaveals her secret on television.

Hanna montana ceases to exist, leaving only miley stewart to deal with the aftermath. And the consequence are pretty bad. The public is not happy.

Telling the truth wasnt easy for miley, but in the end she knew it was what she had to do. She couldnt stand the trouble and pain all this lying was bringing to her friends, family, loved ones, and herself.

So even if it wasnt intentional, i feel like it was a nice bit of forshadowing.

Hmmm

i just thought of deceit lying to thomas and the others to keep him from feeding into another dark side. Idk which dark side or how that would work exactly but its just a thought i had and i had to share it
