So a new episode of The Strange Case of the Starship Iris came out this morning and I still can’t believe how much I love this podcast...
there’s wonderful flirting, semi-Freudian slips, actual consequences for giving people head injuries, fantastic bluffing... It’s just generally so amazing.
10/10 would recommend
Hey, don’t you just hate when the depression hits so hard that the october/sweater season/spooky season vibes that you usually adore, like, these vibes are the highlight of the year… but you’re depressed and completely miss fall somehow and bow it’s winter and also you’re birthday and you don’t have anything because you don’t have friends and also you are currently crying in the feral position as it dawns on you that you’ve missed your two most favorite things time of year wise and now have to wait until next year when it loops back around.
As a person with sensory issues, I’m totally laughing at this quote from a friend of mine. “As a touched out mother on Mother’s Day, if you need anything from me, I’ll be on top of the fridge.”
I think this totally speaks to the craziness of being a mother where you may need some untouched time but closing your bedroom door isn’t an option because your tiny humans will try to unalive themselves if you’re not watching.
It’s that time of year where I haven’t showered in three days and I’m sobbing in a staples at 9pm
