Ribbon? What ribbon? There was a fair amount of confusion, though none showed through the normal stony mask. “That much is true. Looking like that, the same cannot be said of the other.”
"Funny."
Killer tried wiggling out of Frick's arm.
"I was doing my job. Do you even have a function in your Aperture, or...?"
I left everything about it up to chance… so meet Athena and Morality's new bundle of joy, Bella the very charming baby.
What evil have I unleashed onto this unsuspecting world?
It told me GLaDOS was at the cafe.
Kinky.
Some Other You
This time her name is Trix von Wheeling, the disgraced daughter of Bran von Wheeling, founder and CEO of von Wheeling Industries. She is currently masquerading as her identical twin brother Trip, heir to the von Wheeling empire, in order to find the people who tried to assassinate him.
The real Trip is in a coma at Eadenville General Hospital under an assumed name. Trix has taken on his duties as the head of Aperture Security Inc. (a division of vWI). She’s adapted well to the role, probably because it was the one intended for her until tabloid photographers caught her having sex with Gordon Freeman, the son of her father’s biggest rival. She didn’t find out until afterwards that Gordon had set her up at his father’s behest in order to discredit her and her father’s company.
Trix swore off men after that, but finds her resolve being tested by Trip’s bumbling assistant, Jonathan Wheatley. Jonathan’s car crashed several years back after someone cut his brake lines. He woke up with amnesia and thus doesn’t realize that he’s the heir to a vast potato fortune in the Midwest. Trip was good enough to hire him despite his lack of training and he’s been a loyal assistant ever since. He’s noticed Trip is acting differently, but the change seems to be for the better and he has bigger things to worry about, anyway. Despite several close calls he’s still oblivious to the fact that his boss is now a lady. She can’t risk him finding out the truth until she learns who tried to kill her brother and why.
Another complication comes in the form of private investigator Craig Kugel, who has been hired to look into discrepancies at Aperture, with a particularly close look at Trip, who is rumored to be involved in some very shady dealings involving drug cartels and weapons trafficking. Craig is working undercover at Aperture under the name Rick Feit and what he’s seen of Trip so far isn’t what he expected. For one thing, he’s a lot more attractive. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s mixed business with pleasure, but even though his file says Trip will bed anything that moves, he’s resisted Craig’s Rick’s advances. That only makes it more interesting.
Meanwhile in the shadows, Marie Morrison, the illegitimate daughter of Bran and a marine biologist, continues her plot for revenge against the von Wheeling family, who have denied her her rightful inheritance. She’s the one who dropped hints to Marcus Freeman about Trix and who hired Craig to look into Trip’s dealings. She also knows a secret that will rock Eadenville to its core: Bran von Wheeling is dying of a mysterious disease and only has a few months left to live!
