Is astrotrain trans in this story? maybe im reading it wrong
Not *technically*, but I can understand where you could've made that observation. Both authors (my boyfriend and I) are trans men so I'm certain some rhetoric or vibes slipped through and/or rubbed off on the themes/characters. Some characters that *are* transgender within the story are Stella Sanchez (Starscream, transfem), Mr. and Dr. Rivera (Soundwave and Shockwave, transmasc), and many others in the future. I personally don't have any issues if one would like to interpret Andrew (Astrotrain) as transgender so long as it doesn't cater to harmful fetishes. Thank you for your question!! ^^
blitzwing actually made it into the story it just took 3 chapters dw about it
Is Paul Prylowski of any particular descent, if I may ask?
(I had gotten a theory upon reading the name and surname)
he is very intentionally the son of polish immigrants in chicago :3 plot relevant ooo who said that
It was another usual summer day in beautiful June when Andrew walked home, rag over his shoulder and paper bag of cornbread in hand, blissfully to his rickety little shack. It was familiar and routine, which was comforting to him. Thomas had opened the door to his quiet, dark house and saw something deeply unusual, raising the dark curly little hairs on the back of his neck. In the pale moonlight all he could make out was that he wasn’t alone. There was the slim shadowy figure of someone sitting on his one and only chair against the wall, and they were facing him in total silence. It sent a primal kind of terror shooting through Andrew, from his gut to his cold fingers.
The sting of fear plunged deep into the young man’s chest like a knife. He dropped his bag of food in an instant and reached around to his little table to pick up just about anything to defend himself with. His hand wrapped around a bit of his own litter, an empty can of spinach with the sharpened lid dangling from the rim. Mr. Thomas wielded the can towards the intruder, the razor sharp metal glinting in the moonlight that filtered in through the open door.
“Who are you! What are you doing here!” Andrew barked in an attempt to sound menacing, wrist shaking hesitantly while his other hand tried to dig into his pocket to pull out his matchbook to offer himself some light.
The figure leapt to their feet, digging into a pocket and brandishing what could only be a small pocket knife in the moon’s glow. One hand held it out and the other was behind their now more visible frame, groping for furniture as they backed up. Andrew saw little, glasseslessness be damned, but he could hold his own he hoped.
chapter 3 of do engines get rewarded for their steam? POSTED
"Say something already" This sounded weirly aggressive smh
Anyway, how is Megatron's name (in degrfts) pronounced?
Well, I’m sorry that my ask button makes you feel that way. My blog is VERY old and I was emo once (Patrick stump pfp)
Anyways, Megatron specifically borrowed his name from the Mexican (or Aztec) Emperor Moctezuma II. Pronounced “Moc-teh-zooma” (Phonetically). He is specifically an Indigenous Mexican person (no cultural appropriation here), but as we all know, Megatron is always hungry for power and glory so why not rename himself after a king? He does have a birth name but refuses to identity with it and decided to go by Moctezuma very early on in his pursuit of power
If this is the right acc for the 1920 stiry, can I ask how it is to write it? Do you research a lot? Just curious
Yes! You've found me!! The co-author!!! Writing for 'Do engines get rewarded for their steam?' is very enjoyable for me because I've geared my degree towards a focus on American history. My partner and I try to make it as historically accurate as possible. Despite my knowledge and passion, research is *always* required in my field. Lately though, because a bunch of search engines have decided to use AI, it has made the research process a LOT harder because it muddles results with just straight up garbage that is COMEPLETELY inaccurate. I am always looking for new databases and sources for my research if anyone out there has any suggestions. Thank you for finding me and thank you for your curiosity!! <3
are you guys going to include more Autobots in the 1920 story
yes!! while they will not be the pov, they will absolutely exist in the story
currently cooking up more and more autobots as we speak, see if you can spot them ;3
