Hand rolled ‘marble’ offering candles to Zeus, king of the Greek pantheon and god of the sky.

While Zeus is remembered for his power and flaws, he was also seen as the protector of humankind and hospitality. He is the guardian of travelers and foreigners, those far from home seeking safety and belonging.

My candle keeps making popping sounds, anyone know what that might mean? Anyone good with candle reading? I’m not good at candle reading, but it’s been doing it for the last five minutes straight and the flame won’t stop waving when there’s no draft in the room.

Maybe a deity that associates with a black candle perhaps? I’m not big on deity work either.

My yellow candle flame also keeps waving but no popping.

That moment when...

There is something really wonderful and unique about watching your deity candles flicker erratically and energetically. It put me in such a wonderful mood to see those candle flames dancing and flickering.  It had been awhile since I sat down at the altar. It’s almost a feeling of validation that you’re still where you need to be on your path/practice.
