Summary: Deity reader makes Lilia their familiar to revive him.
Part 1 (here), Part 1.5
TW: Reader kisses Lilia while he's asleep (I swear it's not as weird as it sounds. It's to revive him), Chap 7 spoiler, thing happens to Lilia that I can't specify here cause it's a chap 7 spoiler
Pairing: Lilia x Deity Reader
Note: I'm basing this off of a variety of different media but you'll probably be able to tell that a lot of the inspiration for how everything works and whatnot comes from Kamisama Kiss. However, some of it is also just me bullsh*ting. Also, the pacing is really bad and it's all pretty rushed, but to keep this note short I'll explain more in the note at the end. So, for now, sorry in advance!
The overblot was over, but it appeared that Lilia was as well. That was, until the overwhelming love from his family restarted his heart and whispered air into his lungs.
You watched on as his breathing started once more, but his eyes did not open. His body was revived, but his magic was still weak.
Before you knew it you began walking forward, ignoring Idia's quiet warning that this wasn't the right time. Of course, you knew this was a family matter.
You breezed between Malleus, Silver, and Sebek's forms that were still hunched down over Lilia's body. Before they could ask-
*Kiss*
Malleus and Silver were too shocked to speak, their jaws hanging open. Sebek, however quickly snapped out of his daze. The action was maddening enough, but what was worse was your nonchalant expression as you sat back up on your knees from leaning over Lilia.
In a flash, Sebek had tackled you, pinning you to the ground with fire in his eyes that somehow stayed alight despite the tears trying to drown it.
Chaos erupted once more as people tried to pull Sebek off of your still calm form.
A cough.
Then a groan.
Sebek's fists immediately released your collar as Lilia's form finally came alive.
Lilia shakily tried to sit up and Silver immediately reached behind him to provide support. Sebek rushed over to do the same. The two, joined by Malleus, bawled around Lilia, clutching him tightly as if scared he's slip away again if they let go.
It was a good while later that you finally stood up from where Sebek had had you pinned. You stretched your limbs before wincing slightly and rubbing your lower back. The motion drew attention from the little huddle and Sebek once more got up. He stomped over to you and grabbed your collar, lifting you up slightly.
"YOU-"
"What? Did you want me to let him die again?" One of your arms came up to grip Sebek's wrist just tight enough to make him let you go.
He blinked before his face turned enraged once more, but, before he could lunge at you once more, Malleus spoke up: "Child of man. What was the meaning of your actions? What is this about 'not letting him die once more'"
"Surely you are not arrogant enough to believe that a kiss from you would be one of true love!" Sebek once more barks.
You ignore him and move to kneel next to Lilia. Sebek seems to want to stop you, but Malleus gives him a look and he reluctantly stops. You bring a hand up to Lilia's face and brush his bangs from his forehead, slightly narrowing your eyes as you examine it. Lilia blinks before giving a weak smile and, in an attempt to lighten the mood, jokes: "What? Do I have something on my face?"
"Not that anyone here is capable of seeing"
Silver finally speaks up "Prefect. . ."
"Right, sorry. Explanation." you hum, removing your hand from Lilia's forehead "I forged a familiar contract with him." You raise a hand before anyone can freak out "By doing so I transferred a significant amount of my own power to him. He will not die unless I do or the contract is nullified. And, worry not, I will not be facing death anytime soon."
Malleus gives you a doubtful look you'd never seen him direct at you but asks: "Child of man, are you not but a magicless human?"
"I may have never corrected anyone, but I also never said I was- I mean *ahem* no." you clear your throat and clarify properly when you get a handful of agitated looks directed at you. "Anyway, I won't actually expect you to act as a familiar," you look back at Lilia "you will not be forced to do as I say either. That only happens if I put strong emotion and intent behind my words, and I don't plan to do that."
The room falls quiet, the only sound being Idia's quiet, panicked murmurs to himself as he debates if he should leave or not.
"So you kissed me?"
"That's what you focus on-!"
"Yes. That is how the contract is sealed" you cut off Silver's uncharacteristically exasperated comment. "I do apologize for doing so without asking, but I figured it was best to give you the chance to choose."
"Choose?" Malleus mutters.
"If he would like to take my offer, but, also, if he'd like to continue on living."
Malleus, Silver, and Sebek all seem to choke in unison. "What is the meaning of your statement, Human!" Sebek once more grabs your collar, making you sigh.
"You may wish for him to live longer, but, ultimately, it's his choice. I have known many who did not wish to live on after they got a taste of eternity. A long lifespan sounds great until you are actually made to experience it." You once more direct your gaze to Lilia "I will not force you to remain in this existence if it is not what you desire."
"You would kill me?" he ask bluntly, his face somewhat curious and. . .smug?
"No, but I would break the contract. You wouldn't have long after that."
The space around you is unusually quiet and the realization of such makes Lilia scan the room curiously.
"I froze them." you explain "They can hear us, but they won't be able to move or speak. I wish to hear your uninfluenced feelings, Lilia. Of course, if you need time-"
"I accept."
". . .huh?"
"I would be lying if I said I hadn't wished to pass on at points, but. . .I think I can endure a while longer. Afterall, I have yet to see some parts of this world. Nor have I had the chance to see my children finish growing up" his serene and soft expression almost causes a pang in your heart, but then he opens his mouth again "And I have also yet to see them give me grandkids." Lilia cackles.
Despite their frozen states, a blush noticeably creeps onto Silver and Sebek's faces.
"But I have one more question."
"Go ahead."
"If you aren't a human," Lilia smirks and leans in "What are you?~"
With a snap of your fingers the space is unfrozen "It wouldn't be as much fun if I told you." You hum, standing up. A playful pout forms on Lilia's face and you laugh "Alright, Alright. I'm kidding"
A cloud of smoke explodes from your form and when it clears you're attire has been replaced with extravagant silks that drape over your form and drag on the ground making you look nothing short of ethereal. However, what's more alarming are the fox ears now protruding from your head and the nine tails swaying behind you. "I'm a god, of course~"
Perhaps you should have waited to reveal your form so the shrieks of surprise didn't kill your now much more sensitive ears.
Note: I don't think I did very well on the pacing of this one, but I didn't want to make it a whole 50 page manuscript. Anyway, I know the ending is unsatisfying, so if enough people want to see more I'll make another part <3 (I kinda wanna make this a series anyway)
Yan Cultist #1 : It's so liberating to be in charge of your own fate. Sure, we praise and serve a fallen god, but it's our prayers that keep them in our realm.
Yan Cultist #2: I know exactly what you mean. They'd be nothing without us! We're the real ones in charge!
Deity Reader: Kneel, worm.
Yan Cultist #1, dropping to their knees: M-my lord! It is an honor to lay at your feet.
Yan Cultist #2, tugging on the other's robes: What?! Clearly the master was talking to me!
Deity Reader: I was speaking to the both of you. All you mortals are the same in my eyes. I do not need to bother myself with plurals.
Yan Cultist #1: Right as always, My Lord- If you would humor a poor, pitiful soul, perhaps one of us can earn an exclusive title from you? I myself am wouldn't mind being the maggot that sips ichor from your veins.
Yan Cultist #2: What about me?! I am the fifth beneath your heel- Use my broken body to uplift yourself higher, Master!
I'm here to ask for a part 2 for the god!reader x Telamon/Shedletsky after they got reunited in the cabin. I don't really have an idea for the plot but maybe you could include some wing preening if you'd like. Maybe now that they're both like normal robloxians they can pay more attention to their emotions and somehow find out that they like eachother. (Bonus points for hugging or cuddling with wings! 😋)
Ps: maybe Builderman knowing what's happening and just watching almost frustrated from how the ex gods don't know how to deal with love (bc he both knew them before they got forsaken ofc)
Thanks a bunch! ^ ^
Ask for a part 2 and you shall receive~
Part 1
Reader gets- once again- She/They-
It had only been a few days but the others were painfully aware that something switched...
Especially Builderman, who could only groan when you both pulled him aside to ask if he knew all along because- well- he had been friends with you both back in the day...
You were both dramatically shocked about it when he nonchalantly explained how he knew but wasn't interested in drama so he wanted to watch you two figure yourselves out.
It was... Actually quite comical, you had to admit-
But now that you and your old friend were reunited, you decided to make the most of it and not dwell on the betrayal of Builderman keeping silent. Though neither of you seemed to really have a grasp on more complex human emotions so when you inevitably felt a crush growing, you didn't know how to act. This emotion was so foreign to you, like an unfamiliar warmth you didn't know wether to welcome or not.
But much to your luck, Shed wasn't much better at understanding this.
He'd do little gestures like draping a wing over you which would prompt you to do the same to him or shielding each other from rain on the odd times that it actually rained in- and outside of rounds. It was building habits that he perceived as intimate while you doubted yourself and felt awkward to try and do it right. He never seemed to get it but you also didn't get his occasional behaviour changes that seemed to appear randomly.
But Builderman was painfully aware...
You don't even know how it happened when it suddenly became habit for you both to preen each other's wings regularly. You found it comforting and tried every which way to tell yourself it wasn't romantic but that didn't help the fact your wings would visibly relax around him or how you would almost always fall asleep by the time he was done preening and vice versa.
It was so PAINFULLY obvious but no one dared to say a word about it even when you'd fall asleep on top of each other in the main cabin.
Chance tried to bring it up once but your display of obvious denial and oblivion had him trying to get info from Builderman to help set you two up officially.
"No- Chance..." He was already exhausted when Chance came to him and holding his filled coffee mug. But Chance was just ranting while you and Shed were off preening each other's wings again.
"Oh, come on! You can't tell me they aren't so obviously in denial!" They said in frustration, tempted to storm over to your cabin and confront you and Shedletsky both. But Builderman luckily held him back. "They need to figure this out on their own, you know how [Reader] feels about being called out on this."
Chance couldn't help but groan, their coin held tight in their hand as they looked towards the door outside. "Can't we at least talk to Shedletsky? He'd probably take it better!" They attempted to convince the admin stubbornly, showing they wouldn't let it go until something happens.
Builderman only sighed in exasperation, shaking his head as he thought about it. You'd be too bashful to admit you were crushing on your fellow ex-god but Shedletsky was probably more oblivious about the fact you two looked like a couple...
"Alright fine, we can talk to Shed tomorrow but I don't want you complaining about how he reacts, got it?" He finally let the gambler go, who seemed pretty ecstatic at the solution. "You won't hear a word! Promise!"
And true to his word, they both confronted Shedletsky during a round where the three of them were already downed and Shed was just watching you evade the killer in your mockingly playful way. Luckily it wasn't one of the children though since you tended to let them catch you instead of using your usual taunts. They were just kids in your eyes so you felt bad about mocking them.
"Shed... Can we talk?" Builderman propped himself up against the back of the couch Shedletsky was sitting on while Chance promptly plopped himself down beside the chicken man.
Shedletsky was a little confused but shrugged as he looked back towards the TV screen to cheer you on. "Shoot!"
Chance stifled a chuckle at the reaction. Ironic considering how they were planning to start this off. "Well~ I think it's pretty obvious how close you and [Reader] have become~" He spoke cheerfully, watching Shedletsky's earwings twitch at the mention of your name and turning a bit more focus towards the two in confusion.
"Well yeah, we're old friends and we're catching up on each other's lives while making sure the other is taken care off. A mutually beneficial friend-" He was gonna deny it just like you did and before Builderman could stop it, Chance shushed him.
"It really isn't a friendship, Shed. I've got little idea about birds, let alone ex-gods, but preening is strictly a couples thing for birds and I doubt it's much different for gods." They saw Shedletsky get a little flustered at their words but Builderman pushed their hat down before they could continue to get his turn.
With a sigh, Builderman continued. "What we're saying... Is that we're glad to see you two happy but to please talk about your relationship together because [Reader] is clearly too bashful and in denial to notice it's mutual-"
"Mutual?!" Shedletsky puffed up, seeming genuinely surprised. That brought an extended silence to all three of them.
Chance was first to break it in shock. "YOU DIDN'T KNOW????" The gambler couldn't believe it. They had figured Shedletsky knew it was mutual and was probably just uncertain if you knew but now?
Now it was just ridiculous.
"I-I just figured they liked the comfort and-" Shedletsky sighed, chuckling awkwardly as his rambling was stopped by the round ending and you returning with a victorious cheer.
"And that's another win to the survivors!" You exclaimed, almost subconsciously making your way over to the trio with a giant grin on your face. "Did you guys see me?! John's spikes got nothing on me!" You were still filled with adrenaline and didn't realise their looks as Shedletsky nodded and awkwardly smiles at your excitement.
But the moment you went back to celebrate with Elliot and the others, Shed seemed to deflate a bit. "How am I meant to even bring this up???" Suddenly, his tone had changed to be a little more nervous...
"I'm- I'm sure we can help you figure it out. Just try to stay calm and act natural and-" Chance tried to help but was promptly silenced again by Builderman. "No no no, just make sure you talk about it when you're both comfortable. Last thing you need is to make [Reader] anxious by acting 'natural'." He gave Shedletsky a somewhat sympathetic pat on the shoulder as he sighed and nodded, much to both Builderman and Chance's satisfaction.
Sure enough, he waited until you were both in his cabin with him preening and you getting visibly more drowsy. "Hey, [Reader]...?" His voice was soft but you reacted regardless, your wings twitching slightly when his hands stopped moving to show you were listening.
"I'm sure this might be sudden but... Do you think about romance... At all?" You seemed to tense up but by the way your wings stayed relaxed, Shedletsky knew you weren't uncomfortable. Rather... You were flustered...
You were immediately wide awake with rosy cheeks and fidgeting with your hair. "Ah... Maybe? It's a bit hard to understand but yeah..." You tried to play it off, though you were definitely nervous. You didn't know how he felt now how-
Then he suddenly placed a kiss on your wing that made you freeze up as your wings shortly puffed up. "Are you-"
"I know, I know but listen! It's probably either now or never that we get to talk about it... And I may have spoken with Chance and Builderman to find out it was mutual..." Your breath caught in your throat, making a mental note to give those two some... Choice words later... But for now, you had feelings to sort.
"So... How long have you felt this way...?" You sheepishly asked, biting your lower lip as thoughts ran through your mind. But Shed just chuckled awkwardly and shrugged. "I've noticed shortly after I realized you were- well- you. But I'm sure I've felt it even before... And you?" He seemed to test the waters. A playful tone sneaking into his words as he tried to see wether you were comfortable going a little less serious and it brought a smile to your face.
"First noticed back when we were gods. One of my followers had used art as an offering and I realized I liked the thought of us being a package deal but didn't want it to be known... Though I did give that follower my blessing that day." You giggled, following his playfulness in tone as you leaned back slightly.
"But how mean of you to never notice~" You teased, teasing the tension as Shed stifled his laughter and finished up on preening your wings. "Yeah, well, what can you expect from a god like Telamon?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, as if the answer was obvious.
You just turned around to face him and steal a quick kiss as your wings wrapped around him. His wings tried the same but he had to settle on placing his wings further down your back while yours sat right below his neck. "From gods to fools~ But we got there." You chirped, now in a cuddling position on his bed as you two whispered sweet declarations of love, praise and teases.
Yeah... Maybe love was easier than you had thought...

please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 007N7 X DEITY READER PLEASE AUGJFHFGBFH im in love w ur works like what they're so good 💔💔
- 🐰
it is 3 am as i am writing this but ive been meaning to do this one for a hot minute i just needed to think abt the dynamic and got too many ideas so here!
I imagine this to be like .. you have known 007n7 for longer than he's known you. You watched him terrorize the pizza place, you watched him torment the robloxians, you watched him adopt a child that very much was a demon. The rest of the deities saw him as problematic and while that was true for the start, you became fond of watching him grow. Maybe you grew along with him.
It'd be ESPECIALLY cool if exploiting from a "robloxia is one big expansive magical world" pov worked kinda like warlock/demon pact. You were a deity of chaos, set on causing as much havoc as you can without anyone getting hurt. 007n7 was your muse, your patron, your destructive tool. over time both of you grew bored of it. Over time maybe you grew more interested in eachother; Turning away from your responsibilities as a deity to devour any knowledge you could get. Maybe, you apologized for enabling him ruining his reputation. Maybe coolkid was your gift to remind him of old times spent.
Sometimes he yearns to touch you. Sometimes you let him. Being a former deity of chaos, its too risky sometimes. He takes what he can get, always locking his hands with yours when its an option. Sometimes it burns like he's touching hell, other times your hands are colder than sub zero.
Even after the pact had long since been released, 007n7 still devotes himself to pleasing you, even since your interests have changed from chaos to peace. He still references you in his coolgui code.
You were a goddess. (Of anything you decide). You had wings, halos, all that godly stuff. And were a goddess who didn’t exactly like to have things taken from them—not at all. Even if they weren’t yours to begin with.
You and Lady Luck had been having a situation-ship for a while now, you dated then fought broke up then suddenly were back together kissing one another again. As of the moment you two had gotten into an argument and swore you two would never interact again.
But that didn’t mean you didn’t think about her.
Once you found out Lady Luck found herself a little play-thing you were obviously interested, not all gods have favorites and make them known. Plus—you yourself wanted to know what she was up to…so why not give it a shot?
Chance was a gambler, you found that out quickly from the moment you stepped into the casino. Your human form disguised you quite nicely, so no one stared when you entered.
The casino smelt like cigarettes and alcohol, the smell didn’t bother you and soon you would get accustomed to it. Scanning the place it didn’t take long to find Chance, he was playing cards with a deck of people. And won—quite easily. You could sense Lady Luck’s blessing all over him.
You grabbed a cup of wine as you strode over, and took a seat next to him as the losers left. He shuffled the playing cards before turning his attention to you.
“Heh, hello there, I haven’t see you around here. You new?” He questioned.
“Why, yes actually, thanks for noticing.” You responded, trying to match the same tone as the other gamblers.
“Well, whats a pretty fine lady doing here so late?” He asked, turning to look at you as he set the playing cards down.
You turned your head to face him as a small smirk found its way onto your face.
“Actually I was hoping the best gambler in town could show me the reins around here.” You said, your voice filled with a hint of enthusiasm.
Chance smiled back as he responded.
“Well then you came to the right person.”
Since then all you two have done was hang out, you honestly didn’t expect him to be such a thrill. You never felt so alive with him, it was a feeling you had long forgotten. So much so that you forgot he ‘belonged’ to a different god.
You couldn’t believe it but you might have been falling for him…you knew him and Lady Luck might be a thing but you didn’t care. Not at all. Plus she was your…ex…? Girlfriend? Weren’t the two of you done? Gosh, it didn’t matter. You two broke up and got together more times then you could count on two hands.
You and Chance at one point got so close you almost kissed, almost. He pushed away and apologized blaming the alcohol, saying he was already in a relationship.
So Lady Luck did get over you.
After a month worth of hanging out you visited the same casino and Chance was at his usual spot—this time talking to a girl. You didn’t think she would be a bother so you sat down next to him.
He smiled noticing you the moment you headed his way.
“Hey, [Reader]! How are you?” Chance asked with a smile.
“Ah, I’m fine like always. Who’s she?” You questioned pointing at the girl.
She was smoking a cigarette and had a hat covering most of her face, her smile turned into a frown as she lowered her cigar and spoke.
“I could ask you the same question.” She turned to you, tilting her head so you could see her eyes.
Gosh—you immediately recognized her. Lady Luck herself—also in her human form. You immediately frowned and clenched your jaw.
“Milady…” You spoke up, your voice trailing off at the end.
Chance looked between the two of you like he saw a ghost.
“You know shes a goddess—?” Chance asked in visible confusion.
“Chance remember how I told you about [Reader]?” Lady Luck inquired as she took a drag of her cigarette. “My ex….” She grumbled.
You chuckled as you reached over and grabbed the cigarette from her, she let you take it as you took a puff. Chance lowered his shades down for just a moment to clearly make out the fact you were indeed a god. Then he raised them back up and bit his lip realizing he was basically third wheeling at the moment.
“Yeowch, what did you tell him your side of the story?” You questioned before you broke out laughing.
Lady Luck frowned before taking Chance’s hand and standing up, dragging him with her.
“We’re leaving.” She growled.
“Uhm no?” You blurted. “I came here to hang out with my friend.”
“I blessed him before you met him.” She retorted.
“Ladies I can think for myself—“ Chance interrupted. Both your eyes snapped to him which made him go quiet.
Most of the casino was now staring at you all, Chance quickly took the chance to drag you all outside somewhere private. He shut the door and looked at the two of you.
“Okay, before the entire casino realizes there’s two gods here let’s settle this.” Chance spoke with a slight rush in his tone.
Lady Luck tossed her head clearly uninterested, you just rolled your eyes. Chance sighed as he tried evaluating the situation.
“Listen you two need to sort things out. I mean using me as your pawn?” He raised his head up. “Really?” He asked clearly a tad bit hurt.
You and Lady Luck both turned to him at the same time. She tried to speak but you cut her off.
“Chan—“
“—Actually I was never using you. I do adore your company.” You explained walking up to him. Bringing a hand up to cup his face but never actually fully bringing it to touch him. “And as for you,” you turned to Lady Luck. “I’m still rather quite confused on our situation.” You took a breath. “Would you mind—“
Before you could finish she pressed her lips against yours, in a frantic unorganized manner. Chance just stared at the two of you, then you pulled away. Lady Luck stared wondering why you didn’t kiss back. Maybe that was the wrong choice?
You then kissed her back just for a brief moment before grabbing on Chance’s arm and pulling him towards the two of you.
“Gosh, you have zero manners milady. Leaving our doll out of it?” You questioned with a tease.
Slight blush appeared on Chance’s face before you two both pampered him and one another with kisses.
Who could have guessed that a mortal brought two goddesses back together!

Hello how are you I hope you're taking requests if yes may I ask for blade with a deity reader who can heal his mara but it comes at a price for the reader and it leaves them with side effects and blade doesn't realise till the side effects start showing and it's not enough to kill them but enough to get them weaker
Fleeting Salvation
Summary: Burdened by the torment of mara, Blade reluctantly accepts your healing, which can temporarily soothe his pain. However, the process comes at a steep price, leaving you weaker each time. As Blade begins to notice the toll it’s taking on you, he struggles with the unfamiliar fear of losing someone who willingly sacrifices themselves for his sake.

Warnings: Themes of self-sacrifice, Mentions of pain and suffering (mara-related), Emotional vulnerability, Physical weakness/exhaustion from overusing powers.
A/N: First time writing a Bladie centred fic, i probably got the mara thingy wrong since I'm always confused by it😭😀
Blade leaned against the cold steel wall of the Stellaron Hunters' hideout. The endless pull of mara clawed at his mind, a cacophony of whispers and screams that never ceased. His fingers tightened around the hilt of his broken sword, the jagged edges digging into his palm like a cruel reminder of his shattered existence.
"You're restless again." your voice, soft as starlight, echoed through the dim chamber.
Blade's eyes snapped to you, a figure glowing faintly in the dark. You carried an otherworldly grace, a testament to your divine nature. A healer, Elio had said—a being who could offer him fleeting solace. He had scoffed at the notion when you first arrived, but now he couldn’t deny the faint reprieve you granted him, however temporary.
“I’m always restless.” he replied gruffly, averting his gaze.
You approached, unbothered by his curt tone. Blade was always guarded, his demeanor like an impenetrable fortress, but you had seen glimpses of the pain he carried—a pain so profound it rivaled the stars' lifespans. Kneeling beside him, you placed a hand on his arm.
"Let me help." you offered, your voice steady despite the weight of what you were about to do.
Blade hesitated, his brows furrowing. “You’ve done enough. It’s pointless.”
“It’s not pointless if it brings you peace, even for a moment.” you countered gently.
He didn’t argue further, though his jaw clenched. Blade allowed you to place your hands over his chest, your fingertips glowing faintly as your power flowed into him. A radiant warmth spread through his body, soothing the burning chaos of mara. For the first time in hours, the voices in his head grew quieter, retreating like a tide.
Blade exhaled sharply, his shoulders relaxing. But as the light dimmed and the healing concluded, you swayed slightly, your breath hitching.
“Are you alright?” Blade’s voice was sharper than usual, his gaze narrowing as he noticed your pale complexion.
“I’m fine,” you lied, forcing a smile. “It’s nothing.”
It wasn’t nothing, but you couldn’t let him know. Healing mara was not like mending physical wounds; it demanded more than energy. It tore at your very essence, leaving you weaker each time. You had accepted this cost willingly, knowing that your gift could ease Blade’s torment, but you hadn’t anticipated how difficult it would be to hide the toll it was taking.
Days passed, and Blade began noticing the changes. You moved slower, your hands trembling slightly when you thought no one was looking. The glow that once surrounded you like a protective aura now flickered weakly, as though a storm had dimmed your light.
“Stop lying to me.” Blade demanded one evening as you stumbled after a session. He caught you before you fell, his grip firm yet uncharacteristically gentle.
“It’s fine...” you murmured, leaning against him as your strength faltered.
“It’s not fine,” he growled, his frustration spilling over. “You’re weakening yourself for me. Why?”
Your eyes met his, soft but unwavering. “Because you deserve to live without pain, even if it’s only for a while. You’ve suffered enough, Blade.”
His hands tightened around your arms, his jaw working as he struggled to find the words. No one had ever willingly borne a burden for his sake. He didn’t understand it—why you would sacrifice yourself, even partially, for someone as broken as him.
“Don’t do this again,” he said, his voice low but fierce. “Whatever price you’re paying, it’s not worth it.”
“It’s not your choice to make,” you replied, your tone firm despite your exhaustion. “I’m choosing this. For you.”
For the first time in centuries, Blade felt something unfamiliar—a pang of fear. He had spent so long chasing his own destruction, yet now, the thought of losing you unsettled him in ways he couldn’t explain.
Blade began watching over you more closely after that. He noticed every tremor in your hands, every falter in your step. He tried to refuse your help, but the mara would always resurface, its relentless pull forcing him to rely on you again and again.
One day, after another grueling healing session, Blade didn’t let you leave. Instead, he sat with you, his expression unreadable as you rested against the wall, drained.
“You’re a fool...” he muttered.
“Probably.” you admitted with a faint smile.
Blade’s eyes softened, the weight of your sacrifices pressing heavily on him. “I don’t want this.”
“You don’t want the pain either,” you replied, meeting his gaze. “Let me carry a little of it, Blade. Just for a while.”
He didn’t answer, but the silence that followed wasn’t his usual cold indifference. It was something else—something fragile, like a thread connecting the two of you in the vast emptiness of the universe.
For the first time in a long while, Blade found himself wanting something more than destruction. He wanted you—and that terrified him more than anything.
Imagine being the deity that sculpted Satoru. From his figure to his voice, it was your hands that created him. A manifestation of the blue sky, from his white hair like the clouds of a summer sky, to the eyes like the pool of the atmosphere. He was yours.
He was yours and he slipped through your fingers and into the demanding arms of mortals who used and abused him for the drop of power you embedded into him. His eyes that see more than any human ever could. His soul that shields him from the those that mean harm.
And when he returns to you, a weapon who finds no fault with the purpose found in him, all you can do is apologise to him. He doesn't blame you; he doesn't mind. But you do. Your creation was for you alone. Satoru was to be loved and cherished. Sought after like the rays of sun tickling skin. And yet the mortals saw him not human enough. A tool. And for that, you are sorry.
