Day 3 of the Deity challenge was yesterday, and I offered some mugwort tea to Odin.
Day 4 is today, and the challenge is to write a grimoire, bos, or tumblr post about the deity. So here I am!
Who is Odin?
Odin is the chief of the Aesir, who are gods of humanity and society. He is a god of many names and associations, some of which are wisdom, war, death, divine inspiration, and ecstasy.
Correspondences (some of which is upg, not an exhaustive list):
Animals - Ravens, wolves, horses
Crystals and stones - labradorite, fluorite, obsidian, onyx, lapis, smoky quartz
Plants - mugwort, ash
Incense - opium, dragonsblood
In my experience:
Odin has the subtlety of a mack truck to the torso. If he comes knocking, he won't leave you alone.
He can be kinda dramatic imo. But it comes as a bid to stir you to action.
He can be a boundary pusher and a challenger. He's crafty. He is more than capable of putting you through the wringer of that's what he thinks you need.
I spent a lot of time being wary of him. I thought, what could he want with me? But he seems to want for me what I want for me; to become the best possible version of myself as an offering to the world.
