Oh man, he was on the weird side of Youtube again.

In his search for more horror movies to watch, Otogi had wound up instead watching silly people doing ghost hunts. Heck, half the time they were getting things in their shots that they didn’t even realize were there. He’d always hated stuff like this. These people never knew what they were messing with, didn’t know when proof was sticking its dick right in their faces, and still tended to put fake stuff on their videos to make it look like they’d found something that they hadn’t. 

The dice master was about to shut the site off for the night when a familiar face on the reccomended videos aught his attention. Wait a second, he knew that adorable creampuff! Before he knew it, the ravenette clicked the link and found himself falling right into... a Channel? Ryou had his own youtube channel?

On one hand, it made him feel incredibly guilty to not have known this. Being one who was often left out of the friend group, he knew how it felt to be left behind. On the other hand, he found himself quite intrigued. Without a moment’s hesitation, he reached for his phone. Surely he still had Ryou’s number, right?

Well, unless the other had changed it, there it was. There was only one thing to do!

[txt]: Hey there, cute stuff!

No no, Ryou might think that was weird.

[txt]: Hey, Ryou! How’s it hanging?

Much better. 

[txt]: You free tomorrow? I was thinking we could get lunch and catch up? [txt]: My treat~

Now all he could do was wait.

The spirit of Bakura bends down and whispers in Yugi's ear, a devil ready to incite conflict, "Do you remember how terrified of you everyone was for a while? Don't you know it's because your dear Atem used your body to play Shadow Games with unsuspecting mortals?" Bakura cackles to himself, vanishing. Is it a truth? Is it a lie? Who knows, but he just wants to cause trouble.

Yuugi flinches, turning in an attempt to see who it was. That voice. Mind racing, he hugged himself against the sudden chill that ran down his spine. Yes….he remembered….his classmates had avoided him for a while. He had blank spaces in his memory. He’d never asked what happened during those spaces of time..he was too afraid to. Some images flash into his mind…waking up to a shopkeeper being loaded into an ambulance from a scorpion sting…among others. He’d been aware most of these people had hurt him or his friends…at least…he’d remembered the rage before each blackout. 

“N-no…that’s…that’s not true…!” 

….

Creating dioramas had always been a passion of his, whether they were shoebox sized or on a grand scale, the excitement that came with creating a world and watching it come to life was something special. Even if when he had started he lacked the friends to play his tabletop creations with, the concentration it took to craft each individual piece passed hours in a blink of an eye that he soon forgot his loneliness.

When Bakura first requested he make a diorama for him he had naturally been hesitant, his first experience with the spirit and tabletops hadn’t exactly been a pleasant one, but that was a long time ago and if there was anyone that was an advocate for change, it was Ryo. He truly believed that everyone had kindness in their hearts and he couldn’t begin to imagine the pain of not being able to remember who you were. If such a simple thing could help Bakura in piecing together the remnants of his past and help Yugi in his quest then how could he not do it? Not to mention the business it would attract at his father's museum, the collaborations it could bring would do wonders.

It was going to be a long process with many sleepless nights before completion, it took weeks before just the basic structure had been made, but with the help of maps, photos and most importantly, the visual aid and guidance of the spirit, the ancient world was slowly coming to fruition. The palace and surrounding courts had already been put in place, and soon the town would also be ready and it would time to focus on another part, a part that Bakura had seemed to avoid and ignore whenever it had been mentioned.

The area was confusing him. Once the final pieces of the town were put in place all that would remain would be derelict. It wasn’t uncommon for buildings to be scrapped or abandoned so he didn’t question it when making the rubble, assuming that the builds would be scattered throughout the kingdom, but it was becoming more and more apparent that that was not going to be the case. So what exactly was that section going to be?

As he worked Bakura had been silent, only surfacing when something needed to be repositioned or removed, but with the current task nearly complete and the curiosity becoming harder to ignore, Ryo soon found himself breaking the silence.

❝ Bakura.. ❞ He spoke hesitantly as he leaned across the table to finish setting up an area of shrubbery. ❝ All that remains are ruins.. ❞
