Day Five Creative Consistency Challenge. Sarah drove across the field and parked across from the fence line of Old man Johnson's farm. She got out of the car and went over to the staged haybales. Took a spot where she could watch the only road in or out. Waiting about an hour to see if anyone else was following or coming. She left the car there and walked back towards the house. With every labored step her breath hurt and the stomach wound cracked its shell and bled out a little more. Her shoulder stopped bleeding however her use of her arm was extremely limited due to the excruciating pain that accompanied any movement. Sarah snuck up to the front entrance to the house. Waiting for the other shoe to drop in anticipation of someone else jumping out at her or more shots being taken in her direction. Hiding behind a tree, staring at the front entrance, her memory took over and she was a young girl playing with her sister running around Nanna's legs as she had just come form the garden holding a basket of vegetables. Tears flow and her heart aches. with the realization that inside the foyer is Nana's body. growing colder with each passing minute and that it was her fault for coming here.. Mustering up the courage and determination Sarah entered and had to at least provide Nana with the respect she deserved. Closing her eyes and covering her up , was the extent of respect that could be provided at the moment. Kneeling over Nana's covered body Sarah whispers the lords prayer and apologizes again. Jumps up and stomps over to the rifleman's remains. checking her pockets for anything useful. No keys nothing, Didn't think she walked here. had to be parked somewhere close. was she truly alone? Her mind raced and ended up on one thought. this confirmed. they weren't trying to catch her they wanted her gone, only tried killing her.
