delaneyjoyce replied to your post“The “Anne With an E” Netflix series isn’t as much of a “daring” or...”
YES I've been comparing it to little house as an adaptation as well. I'm fine with that only because we already have a near-perfect Anne adaptation but I was hoping for a faithful Anne of avonlea + Anne of the island
Yes, exactly! In some articles, the creative team talked about the challenges of adapting a book that’s already been adapted so many times. My reaction was, “Then please just adapt literally ANY of Montgomery’s other books.” And I would love to have beautiful Netflix adaptations of the later books or things like “The Blue Castle”. But now I see there’s no hope we’d get accurate adaptations. And I just have to be content with the pretty cinematography of the versions in my head.
I can enjoy “Anne With an E” as one adaptation among many, but it would be much harder to enjoy if we didn’t already have an accurate adaptation. (This show definitely makes me appreciate the Kevin Sullivan version more. That one might be slow and dated, but at least it’s sweet and book-accurate.)

loooooove Laudate!
Laudate is bae
Thank you, sweet friend! I’m excited, too, and I’m trying to focus more on the excitement and the adventure than the anxiety and the scary. @delaneyjoyce

High: Talking to @delaneyjoyce. Man, that was good for my soul. Love you, Girl.
Low: The family was all pretty crabby today. And most of them are leaving tomorrow which makes me sad.
Looking like maybe that car isn’t going to be the one, but we’ll have to see. I’m just not sure I need an SUV that can seat 8 people.
That’s pretty much all I’ve got for tonight. God bless!

it's even worse when these people are (possibly) narcissists who surround themselves only with people who blindly adore them and don't point out problematic behaviors, sometimes out of fear of starting drama or being cut off and their social media starts to look like a cult for worshipping that one person =/ yeah. great big yikes.
HAHA YEP i definitely know one person in particular who surrounds themself with people that blindly adore them and “cuts out toxic people” who point out their bad behavior or hold them accountable for those things instead of confronting it :///

Hello, February!
High: I met my new coworker today - she’s absolutely lovely and I’m looking forward to getting to know her better.
Talking to @delaneyjoyce and reading her fanfic.
Low: I was SO TIRED today. I didn’t sleep well last night and here I am staying up late again. Shame, shame, Clare.
Being very annoyed and rejecting someone. I don’t want to reject them but somehow its become involuntary. I know this is a way God is humbling me; I was so proud of myself for being the one person who was understanding and patient with this person. And now that’s gone. Now I’m struggling and failing to love them.
Please say a prayer for my brother Joseph - he’s taking his permit test tomorrow as long as we don’t get snowed in.
Love and God bless,
Clare
