This is gonna be one of the weirder Asks you get, but I hope it goes with the territory: I had a very important worldbuilding session last night while tripping on edibles, but I forgot it because I was tripping on edibles. Seeing the Chimeres brought it all back. Thank you so much oh my God, I NEEDED that train of thought. Damson plums son this is the quality art, thank you for ALL of this.

My dude did I just see you do tags as to the idea that cooking helps ORAS?? Because I have some allergen stuff going on and I am interested in getting into cooking, I am FASCINATED

It depends strongly on the specific allergen (not every problem protein is broken down by cooking temps/edible acid levels), but yes! Tomatoes are one where the allergen may break down in heat—I can eat ketchup and other tomato-based sauces just fine (though I am not a fan of cooked tomato as a primary flavor, it's at least edible), but raw tomatoes make my mouth feel like it's full of angry bees. Which, like, cherry tomatoes used to be one of my favorite snacks so you can imagine how I feel about this.

Definitely always do a small-scale test first before committing, but if you can't eat something raw you could very well be able to eat it cooked.

I think a lot of companies are gonna find it real, real hard to put the genie back in the bottle when it comes to accessibility. I have the right to be excited by that, even if things suck, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE things suck. We’re all fighting one way or another.

excellent addition. this situation affects different people in different ways. we can grieve a tragedy while also staying hopeful that the fallout will bring the change our societies so desperately need. not least of all because this change will also help us prevent something like this from happening again.

I love talking about all my children but the most obscure good boy has to be Magnus. He’s in a couple of ships but I’m guessing most people who know about my other babs might still not know about him.

He’s another banshee/lilim who became best friends with Iblis and Marc after they saved his son Nuada. He’s a widower, loves going to the beach to nab seafood and talk to the selkies, and is descended from the Matron Agrat Bat Mahlat. Both of his kids have flaming red hair and feathers, as I based the family off of scarlet macaws.

He’s outgoing, curious, and just all around a sweetie. I have an INCREDIBLY OLD art of him here which I need to update desperately.

Anyways, he has deer peets and is well known among the banshees for first approaching a team of human researchers in exchange for a candy bar. You give that boy a candy bar and you’ve made a friend for life.

ok well lets start with madge cuz ho boy.

Madges day job... well, perhaps first I should preface: madge is from an advanced alien race called Keets. (original name, I know, but they were originally based off of parakeets!) their homeworld is extremely uptight prudish and generally resembles an advanced early christian society, with mandatory head coverings and everything. their society is actually genderless, being utterly hermaphroditic with no visible sex characteristics, other than a social presentation and pronouns. madge falls in the Masc category likewise. (here are some sketchy wips i grabbed from my sai, i havent even colored em yet)

Madge was the youngest of 5, a runt with unruly colors, feathers, *everything*, and the “black sheep” of his family. he hated his culture, society, everything; he was a wealthy child and spoiled even still, but socially, it was abysmal. Im currently working on a big project for his origin story in his verse, but long story short, he ran away from home, this naive rich boy with a handful of his cousins, meets some friends along the way, and becomes an intergalactic criminal with his family and friends that soon become his crew. 

(^^ This is why you dont trust cousins with where your clothes go at an intergalactic spa. Also to note; Madges design was recently refreshed, his markings are much more distinct and his face and body have been refined. His color palette was also tweaked!)

with a new taste for even greater wealth and a head too big for his young shoulders, he eventually finds his way into a tavern, where he meets a deep space cuthulu pirate cpatain, joins his crew and becomes his 3d in command, becomes his intelligence agent, and, eventually, mr deep sea cuthulu space pirate and him get together and among being spoiled by all sorts of glittery wonderful things, as birds love, they eventually have a half-cuthulu daughter hwo is *spoiled*.

^^ look at her being a little pirate warlord, commanding her fathers crew!!! also, the above two pieces i did not draw.) so: Day job, pirate, sleeping position..... he curls up into a lil ball a lot, or sleeps on the closest warmth source, usually other people. hes p tactile. and fav season.... his home planet is mostly a water world with plateaus and cliffs, and warm weather most of the time, so id say summer. Birbs hate the cold!
