Throwback Thursday
“1998″ by Peace
After seeing Peace live last night at King Tut’s (review here) at what I can only emphasise as the wildest gig I think I’ve ever been to, I’ve been reliving the night over and over all day, feeling entirely exhausted by the spectacular show the band put on. Hearing “1998″ live in its entirety was a highlight not only for myself, but for the majority of the crowd judging by the reaction. Just over 10 minutes of ethereal instrumentation, with delicate, distant vocals brought home an indescribable celestial vibe. This song was already a favourite of mine, but hearing it performed live with the atmosphere that I enjoyed it in was dreamy and I can’t help but want to relive it.

My always open ear is now signing for unemployment.
Borgore, "Someone Else's"
Are you blind? Are you out of your fucking mind? The bank just called, they said that your sanity was declined Cause three weeks ago you said you will die for me So die for me How come you are giving up on me? You cannot take the good without the bad, don't you get it? We had our glory days, and now you easily forget it I'm tryna eat, but I miss you, it makes me sick How can I swallow when you're swallowing someone else's?
Borgore feat. Adi Ulmansky, "Someone Else's"
1998 is just pure noise for at least 3 minutes, and it's fucking beautiful.
