These smoky tempeh burgers are a delicious and satisfying vegan option. The combination of smoky tempeh, creamy avocado, tangy sun-dried tomatoes, and flavorful pesto creates a mouthwatering burger experience.
Ingredients: 4 burger buns. 8 oz tempeh, sliced into 4 patties. 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped. 1 avocado, sliced. 1/4 cup pesto sauce. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 slices of vegan cheese optional. Salt and pepper, to taste. 2 tbsp olive oil.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. Add salt and pepper to the tempeh patties and brush both sides with olive oil. Put the tempeh patties on the grill and cook them for three to four minutes on each side, or until they are hot all the way through and have grill marks. One slice of vegan cheese should be added to each patty in the last minute of cooking. Make the burger buns golden on the grill for one to two minutes while the tempeh is cooking. On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a lot of pesto sauce. After putting a lettuce leaf on top of the pesto, add a tempeh patty, which can have cheese on it or not. Add sun-dried tomatoes and avocado slices to the top of each patty. Put the top half of the bun on top of the avocado slices to finish putting the burgers together. Enjoy your smoky tempeh sun-dried tomato avocado pesto burgers right away!
