Mm-hm! It’s an extract from what I wrote for the ceremony, and it was some intensely, intensely sentimental stuff. Our actual vows were:
“Do you promise to show Tiffany your life and light, to share in her happiness and her darkness, to comfort and guide her, to give to her the wonder of the new day, and your hand to hold at night, to find in her all gifts?”

the new miyagi captains are invited to a tv interview and futakuchi makes it his goal to get ennoshita to laugh on camera. you end up laughing instead. i read every joke in this 3 times to fully appreciate them and the ending has the greatest Suffering Captains™ scene ever (check the comments for some exposition on what the teams were doing while the captains were away ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it’s not inappropriate i just thought it was a good time to pull out a lenny face).

seijou celebrates the end of the school year by facing all the other sports teams in a paintball battle. just...read this fic please. it’s so funny. it’s from kindaichi’s point of view, which was a brilliant decision, and it has the best kunimi i’ve ever read. i literally can’t say anything more because there’s like 5 jokes in every line and i don’t want to spoil it, so pls.....read this. laugh with me

misaki hana works through her feelings about her performance as johzenji’s manager, with some help from michimiya yui. i loved how the importance of managers to their teams was central to the plot. this fic feels relatable and real, and i think it has something to do with how the author writes misaki’s thoughts knowing that every decision she makes is an insight into her character. this fic is so good, i love hana so much, pls read

oohira reon and kai nobuyuki strike up a friendship at their first nationals, and it grows into something more over the next three years. this fic is really...quiet. the mood is so soft and calming and it fits oohira and kai so well. i want fanart of the snaps reon sends kai because l m a o, i love tendou. and i love reon. and i love reonkai. there are 4 fics in this ship’s tag. j o i n u s in this suffering
a bouquet of flours by @guyfierimpreg (i am LOVING the url, matsuhana, 5k, G)
matsukawa and hanamaki raise a sack of flour together. i don’t think i have to say more but i LOVE THIS so i will. the dialogue is sharp and the jokes are so funny without falling into the Matsuhana Meme Trap (removing the characterization from their jokes until it’s just a reference to the latest meme. i think they would have meme preferences, memeferences if you will). the author’s voice is really strong and relatable. think of the greatest series finale of a tv show you’ve ever seen, and the ending to this fic is better than that.
tales from the iron wall: summertime special (dateko gen, 5k, T)
just 5.7k words celebrating aone. we are all dateko #relatable. the plot isn’t fully revealed until a little bit into the fic so i don’t want to spoil it, but let me just say aone laughs in this. that’s all u need to know tbh. god bless nametsu, i hope she’s doing alright

florist! iwaoi! au!!! in which oikawa keeps stopping by iwaizumi and ushijima’s flower store. iwaizumi loves plants and oikawa and i’m LIVING. there’s some florist au trope subversion (i never thought i would type those words in that order) and a scene involving a dog that was hilarious. ushijima is iwa’s best friend but he still has banter with oikawa, and it’s a nice break from characterizations where he’s emotionless. this one is so soft and good, pls read

akaashi pulls a muscle in his shoulder so bokuto invites him to his house to do yoga. i laughed so hard reading this, akaashi’s inner monologue is all of us when thinking about bokuto (and not to spoil some of the best parts but akaashi’s inner monologue is sometimes in kuroo’s voice and he has so many regrets, it’s hilarious). there’s a perfect mix of angst (bokuto’s dad passed away, if that’s something you need to know!) and humor, and the tone is so akaashi. there’s a line akaashi says about kenma that i’m getting tattooed on my face, a line from kuroo about certain relationship struggles that i’m getting tattooed on my arm, and the rest of this fic is going on my back. all-around great bokuaka.

cosplayer/doujinka au iwaoi! i knew nothing about half of those words before reading this but the author makes everything really clear and easy to understand. the mutual pining is portrayed so creatively; in fact, the entire fic is well-written and impressively meta. like no joke, there’s at least 3 layers of complexity. 10/10 would recommend

iwaizumi watches as oikawa dates other people and can’t figure out why it makes him feel weird. for six years. this fic is so funny that the notes made me laugh. the mutual pining is so good and iwaizumi and oikawa are so soft together. there’s also a hilarious interpretation of what it’s like when people have been assuming you’ve been dating the whole time. shoutout to iwaizumi’s suitemates.

Disclaimer that it's been... over a year since I was in a bio lab. Much more information about crystallisation and vacuum filtration in my head. So it's just a few half-remembered things from CMMB.

There were moments that required a watchful eye and a steady hand, and any distractions ushered away, to ensure the proper amount of DNA and primer was pipetted, to watch fluid move slowly through gel—
—and then there was minding the centrifuges for hours, because they couldn't be left alone for too long at the higher speeds. Unless one didn't mind them sounding ready to fly apart.
But Blanche did, their researchers did, and their Pokémon's leeriness did nothing to assuage their worries that they wouldn't arrive to fire and ash in the morning. So when they needed overnight use, Blanche pulled rank and sent all their lab assistants to their quarters. After all, it wasn't like they all needed to stay awake for something that literally only required the touch of a button to fix, and a note in the appropriate observations folder.
Today only those who'd needed to come had done so, aside from Blanche, and they were happy to go. Blanche didn't begrudge them their eagerness. Cutting out some time to be with loved ones, or simply enjoying what the day had to offer was not a bad thing. Everyone had their own way of rest. That included Blanche.
Normally on these longer lab nights they ended up dimming the lights to a dull orange, and let their eyes rest in the near-dark. But drowsier than usual, they chose to wash their face and pull out the book of Johto myths Spark'd gotten them.
They were a quarter of the way when a soft cry drew their attention up and a frown to their face. Familiar, but it took a second to catalogue properly, because how could've one—
Two Eevees bound into view; tails flicked in obvious interest when they saw Blanche. Heedless of lab safety, they scampered in.
Candela came trot in on their heels, and Blanche sighed, let pages fall shut around a finger. "I should've known it was you."
"Yeah, consider yourself lucky." She shook a paper bag. "Brought you a very late but charitably warmed dinner."
"I can't eat in the lab."
She rolled her eyes. "Then come out here, nerd. When was the last time you stepped out to actually do that?"
Blanche chose silence on the matter to maintain some measure of dignity, not wanting to concede to her point. Instead they asked, "Did you come up to just give me this?"
"Nope." She cocked her head and gave Blanche a grin, and even before the words came out, Blanche braced themselves. "I was thinking we could have a nice Eevee-ning together."
a random thought: honestly I’ve ranted all of them before but uh. I think if 10051 is to continue as a romantic relationship or even a close friendship, Shouichi would eventually confront Byakuran about how he disposed of Genkishi. It shows how Byakuran treats other people’s devotion and, honestly, that could have been him.
An unpopular opinion: Tsuna should not end up being a mafia boss. It’s really not a good life for him. Anyone else could do better than him. Also Yamamoto should grow up and play baseball instead of killing people.

i love so many of your fics but i always keep coming back to prayer of the apostate. it's short but it hits so hard and gives bakura so much interiority and it's just really evocative!
Oh my gosh, really? I worry a lot that sometimes the smaller fics can get lost with the others, especially one like Prayer of the Apostate which can be a little obscure. It was a deliberate decision to highlight how private a moment religion can be for people, even people like Bakura, but- aaa I’m rambling.
