for absolutely no reason whatsoever I am planning nothing at all do you have an idea/descriptions for what scar grian and scott’s hero/villain/vigilante outfits look like in BAAS

.....I'm not sure if I should be worried or not (/silly :P) but yes, absolutely!!! it's probably about time that I give a description (I really need to start describing my characters....truly is a terrible habit of mine lmao)

I'll put it under a cut, in case it gets long!!!!

Grian/Mimic: wears red and black, and his mask is kinda like a silver gas mask with red lines along the edges. The upper half of his face is left exposed. His top is kinda like a black leather jacket (but kinda loose, to allow him to move better) with some body armor on it and red stripes along the arms, and he wears black gloves. Under his jacket, he wears a dark red sweatshirt type of thing, and he pulls up the hood (which is also red) while he's out and about in the city. His pants are black, with a holster on one side and a bunch of pockets, and he wears black boots as well!

Scar/Vex: his mask is made of metal, and it has three little lights on each side to show that it's functioning (orange on left and teal on right when you're looking at him). his suit is mostly black, with accents in the same shades of orange and teal as his hotguy outfit - it has more coverage though lmao. when you're looking at him, the left has orange accents and the right has teal accents. his suit has some body armor along the chest and arms to protect him, and the body armor is kind of lined with the colors for each respective side of his body? hopefully that kinda makes sense lmao. he wears boots and has fingerless gloves, as well as an arm guard for when he's using his bow and arrow. he has a quiver on his back for his arrows. he also wears leg braces, which are hidden under his suit to give them extra protection and keep them from being targeted by any villains.

Scott/Starling: his mask is a very basic sort of medical mask? it's smooth and sleek, and it latches behind his head to keep it on, but nothing complicated. it's made out of a sort of dark midnight blue/navy cloth. His hood is also midnight blue (slightly darker than his mask), and it's lined with little shimmery crystals (because, of course, Scott Smajor Must be fashionable while being a vigilante /silly). he has pale blue gloves that stretch up to his elbows (imagine Elsa from frozen, but more functional lmao), and his boots go about halfway up his legs. other than that, his suit is pretty basic - dark blue (almost black) with some minor body armor!

silly game time! You meet a mysterious person while walking in the woods. You’re about 95% sure they are a fae. They ask for your name. You do not wish to surrender your true name, but do not wish to appear rude. What is the first name that comes to mind to give the fae? (Keep in mind, you would not be able to use this name again, for anything. For example, I could say Delta, but then I could no longer use this name, and also the fae would probably gain access to my tumblr and nobody wants that)

Now theoretically this is a simple question but I am a chronic Overthinker so there’s layers to it

My immediate first thought would probably be Leo, which would be acceptable as it’s not my irl/“true” name, and thus I would be safe, but I also wouldn’t want to lose Leo as a name since it’s what I use pretty much anywhere that isn’t in person!

Then I might consider Luna, since it’s what I used to go by online but don’t really anymore, so I wouldn’t really lose anything, but it has ties to my irl name and that might not be safe. Also, some of my personas still use Luna as a name and idk if, since they represent me, that wouldn’t be allowed anymore? Who knows (the fae, probably, but I’m not asking them)

Now would be when I really have to Think. Assuming my mind doesn’t go blank of all possible names at that exact moment and I don’t mess up and accidentally blurt my real name/names (out of any of them I’d probably say my irl name bc it’s an in person meeting and while I like it I have less attachment to it, so it’d be really easy to accidentally say lol), the first name that came to mind was Noah. When I was figuring out what I wanted to go by online, since “Luna” wasn’t exactly my favorite (still a bit too feminine for my liking, and just felt kinda wrong/wasn’t the right fit), Noah was one of the names I was considering! Ultimately, however, I decided against it, as I didn’t want to seem like I was copying someone who had also just renamed themself Noah, and Leo was easier to explain if anyone irl heard one of my friends call me it. But I do still have some attachment to Noah as a name, so it sits fresh in my mind, but I don’t hold enough attachment to it to be upset about losing the ability to call myself it!

But if that doesn’t work and it has to be something I’ve actually gone by before, I would probably give up the name Luna (or “Lil Lunatic,” which is a username I used to have, so I would only lose an email and an irl nickname).

Hmm and because I’m already here talking about my names and what they mean to me, this is how I chose “Leo”:

So like in 5th grade we were learning about the renaissance and we had to do a project on a specific person from the renaissance. I think each person could be picked/given twice, and I got Leonardo da Vinci. My best friend said that it fit me bc I was smart and artistic and good in school, so I was like him as a true “renaissance man.” That made me happy, and kinda sat in the back of my mind.

Flash forward to the next year, and I found a place to post my art and draw new characters and have fun online talking to other people! At this point, I’m going by Luna online, but it just. Doesn’t feel right. So I ask my friends for advice on what to do, see if they have any suggestions. My best friend jokingly suggests Leonardo da Vinci again, as it became a sorta joke between us, but then I kinda think for a minute about it. I really like the name. It’s not super far off from Luna, as they both start with L, but it’s more masculine/gender neutral. I had an oc named Leo (that I had never drawn and still haven’t to this day, btw), who was one of my favorite characters at the time. It also fits, as I had grown attached to the Leonardo da Vinci joke, and if I went by Leo it was silly to think of the painter also going solely by Leo, and I can go by just Leo but say that it’s actually short for Leonardo. (I also didn’t realize at the time but I also liked the name fully because of the PJO/Heroes of Olympus series where Leo Valdez is one of my all time favorite characters and I was subconsciously trying to make myself more like him)

And the “easy to explain irl” thing is just the Leonardo da Vinci thing, which, yeah, can sound somewhat weird and self-centered, but it’s only in case of emergency if someone overhears me being called Leo and is confused/starts getting weird about it.

But once again, thank you so much for the ask! It is a very fun question to consider and not just answer, but to analyze why I say what I would say. And you also got me to reminisce on why I chose this name in the first place, which is always fun, so thank you for that too!
