Dick Grayson

“Hey babe.” A apprehensive voice whispered with phantom hands shaking your shoulders.

“Wha…” The cocoon of your blankets made thinking hard, as you wrestled your hands out from your warm haven.

“Babe,” more jostling shook you, but you blissfully tried to ignore it, “Babe!”

“Ugh,” you swatted away at the nuisance and sharply opened your eyes. You were greeted by the sight of your boyfriend wearing next to nothing but his boxers and a white T-shirt (a look you’d usually be much more appreciative of, if you hadn’t been so abruptly awakened). “What?!”

“It’s 10 after.” He told you nervously, like a kid who was caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

“Huh…” Your eyes widened as understanding dawned over you, “Are you serious? The next train is at 45.”

Sheepishly, he raises his hand to scratch behind his neck, “Sorry, you just looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake you up.”

You rolled your eyes to skies and quickly threw of the bed sheets, “Yeah, well my boss isn’t going to want to pay me now for the hour I’m going to miss.”

The speed at which you pulled on your clothes would make Cheetah jealous, but your momentum was stopped when you realised there were no socks to be found.

Hurriedly you rummaged through your drawers, finding all sorts of useless stuff like more sleep shorts and shirts.

“So what were you dreaming about anyway, you had this expression on your face.” Dick questioned, handed you a pair of those prized black socks.

“Oh?” Gratefully you took them out his hands, but didn’t put the socks on as you replied. “You.”

Dick’s eyes lit up with anticipation, which bled into his tone, “Hmm and what were we doing?”

“Nothing that we have time for now.” You reminded him in a sing-song tone turning back to your drawers, yet you still hadn’t put your socks on.

Languidly he wrapped his arms around you from the behind and muttered into your ear, “Why not just take the day off and make that dream come true?”

“Di-“

“You’ll get sick pay.”

…

“Now that’s a tempting argument.”

Jason Todd

Jason sat hunched over on the bed, dangerously close to your bedside drawer which was currently open. For a moment your breath hitched, but then you saw the characteristic red and black lining of your journal.

You leaned against the door frame, crossing your arms with a teasing smile.

“Hey that’s private stuff you’re looking at.”

“Sorry,” he responded with a sheepish smile, but his eyes remained locked onto your dream journal. “It’s just that… you only have good dreams.”

The grin on your face dimmed slightly as you pushed yourself up off the door. You were well aware of the night terrors that plagued him at night, but most of the time you slept through them- a thought that made shame creep into your veins and turn them inside out.

“Jason-“ You muttered softly, reaching your hand out to touch him.

“Don’t do that.” The grumble in his voice made you stop your advances, “I hate it when you get worried about me, it makes me feel like a child.”

“You’re not a child, but you don’t deserve to be treated as though you’re just like everyone else. You’ve had a difficult life Jason, I won’t pretend otherwise.”

Scowling, he snapped the journal closed, “Maybe I want to be like everyone else.”

“That’s not true.” You replied, thinking back to those twin guns in the closet and the sharpened throwing stars he hid under the bed. Jason didn’t want to be like everyone else, at his core he’s too much of a fighter, that made him special not a curse. It was a glorious duty to defend others and unfortunately most choose the easy option of turning the other way when people were kicked down- yet Jason also kept an eye out for the little guy, even if he pretended to hate it.

Jason looked up at you, his eyes shining with a vulnerability that took your breath away, “Why not?”

“You don’t need me to answer that Jason.”

He gulped and looked down, prompting you to stand in front of him and raise his chin with your finger.

“Tell me about your dreams.” He whispered, tears building in his eyes, “I can’t remember what it’s like to have restful nights.”

Your breath caught while your eyes widened, but nonetheless you proceeded to tell him all the dreams you could squeeze from your memory, all the while hoping that one day he’d have his own to share with you.

Duke Thomas

Distantly, you could hear the quiet patter of rain against the window and the occasional gust of wind. A tickling sensation blossomed on your face, prompting you to haphazardly sweep your hand across your forehead.

Once the tiny inconvenience was gone, you opened your eyes to see the familiar site of your boyfriend sitting up in your bed, with your head resting on his lap.

“What are you smiling about?” He murmured, his face too tired to pull up his normal smirk.

“I had a dream.” You state simply, feeling the solid muscle underneath his shirt.

“I swear you’re always grinning when you’re asleep, how do you do it?" Duke attempted to sound casual, but genuine curiosity weaved itself into his words, causing you to perk up through your sleep-induced daze.

“Let me show you.” You quietly replied, reaching a hand up to caress his cheek to guide him into lying down.

As slow as the moon orbits the Earth, you entwined your arms around his body and pressed your cheek to his back. Happily embracing the warmth that floated off him- being with Duke felt like feeling the first rays of sun after a week of cold, grey rain, everything was golden and hopeful, as though it would all be alright if he willed it.

“Just relax,” you instructed, brushing your hand along his arm, “the dreams will find you.”

Damian Wayne

You nuzzled closer to the bulb of warmth, placing your hand onto what felt oddly like a chest.

“Damian?” You asked in a groggy voice.

“Hmm, your beauty is only diminished by the sound of your atrocious morning voice, beloved.”

“Hey,” you opened both your eyes and then frowned at his slightly dark under eye circles and tense posture, “You look tired, did you get much sleep?”

His skin flushed, “I was too… distracted.”

“By what?” Your eyebrows furrowed, as you continued to make out his features in the dim sunrise light.

“By you.”

“By me.” You repeated unimpressed. “Sleeping.”

“You look very peaceful.”

The image of him staring longingly at you while you were fast asleep and blissfully unaware struck a cord in you, “Well that’s very sweet, but I’m going to need to start turning around if you’re losing sleep over it.”

“Making threats beloved?” He raised an arched eyebrow, signalling that this was a fight you could not win.

Instead you rolled your eyes and burrowed your face closer to him, “Whatever, just go back to sleep.”

Hi!! I wanted to request anything else or Damian. I really like the way you write him and his family. I honestly have no specific request but maybe more interaction between them and the family. And I loved the tension of Bruce and the implied Damian putting her over Robin and being unreachable. Thanks!!

Content: Damian takes you to Wayne Manor to meet his precious animals. (Technically a continuation of my dinner post, should I make this into a series?)

“I’m really honoured that you’re allowing me to visit your pets Damian.” You wrung your hands together, once again standing in front of the massive, daunting Wayne Manor.

“They are not pets they are companions.” Damian replied, you didn’t have to look to see that his nose was upturned.

“Right,” you winced, “totally my bad. Companions, got it."

Damian led the way into the Manor, walking up the right hand-side twin of the spiral staircases. The chocolate brown banister looked freshly polished, so much so that you swore you could see your reflection. As you trudged up the staircase, you noticed that it didn’t creak at all- maybe they didn’t use the front door as much as you had assumed.

“We shall visit Titus first, he is usually in father's study or the sitting room."

Damian rounded the corner and was met by the brick wall of Tim Drake.

“Watch where you’re going Timothy.” His scowl dominating his tone.

“Stop calling me that!” Tim snapped, then he saw you and instantly brightened. “Oh hey, back so soon? I was worried that Bruce had scared you off."

“An intense dad isn’t enough to tell me to back off.” You smiled and shook your head.

Damian cleared his throat, “I was just taking y/n to see Titus, he’s most likely in father’s study.”

“Oh yeah, he’s gone for the weekend anyway- so that avoids any awkward conversation.”

An inkling of curiosity hit you, “Where is he?"

“Metropolis.” “China.” They said simultaneously, before Tim’s expression turned panicked and Damian’s hardened into annoyance.

Quickly, Tim piped up, “He’s going to Metropolis to visit a friend and then has a business trip in China."

“Oh…” You nodded.

Wow rich people have such crazy lifestyles.

“So you gonna show her Big G?” Tim asked, practically jumping up and down on his toes.

“No.” He sharply snapped, “Don’t you have somewhere better to be?”

“Yeah, I’m going out, so don’t burn anything down kids.”

Damian gritted his teeth, “We are adults Drake, we can handle ourselves.”

“Yes, yes.” Tim waved you two off and strode away.

The hushed pattering of your footsteps on the lush carpet filled the air, as you made your way down another hallway with Damian.

Quietly you asked, “Why can’t I see Big G?”

“He has a story I am not prepared to share.” Damian mused, his voice soft and contemplative, you reached towards him and took his hand within your own.

Just as you were about to pass another room, the half opened door revealed a woman with hair as black as a raven’s, petting a very well-behaved dog.

“Ah, here is Titus.” Damian led you into the room, wrapping his arm around your waist, so you could feel his familiar dulled warmth.

“Cass I’d like you to meet my partner.”

Graciously you smiled, “It’s lovely to see you, I don’t believe we’ve met."

Cass gave a short nod and smiled, “Damian speaks highly of you, it’s quite telling, since he doesn’t for many others." Her voice was serene- quiet as though she only spoke when she deemed it was worthwhile to share, but purposeful enough to show she had no insecurity.

“Oh,” you gave Damian’s hand a grateful squeeze, “Well I hope I live up to the expectation."

Damian brushed him thumb over your knuckles, "You already do beloved.”

“I was hoping for y/n to meet Titus, but we shall leave you to take pleasure in your time Cass and return later.”

This time Cass’s smile was larger and her nod much more eager, “Thank you Damian, I hope we’ll see each other again soon y/n.”

Stepping out the room, to respect Cass’s privacy, you were suddenly startled by a cat.

Meow

“This is Alfred the-“

“Oh look how cute!” The sound of Alfred’s pleased purring met your ears, as you petted him, “Aren’t you the cutest? Yes you are.”

“You’re spoiling him.” Damian remarked with a deadpan tone, but his tiny smile didn’t escape your gaze.

“Well he deserves to be spoiled- he’s adorable.”

“I doubt Duke will agree, Alfred once shredded his classwork book.”

The image of this perfect cat going feral and clawing at a book made you laugh heartily.

“I’m sure Alfred had his reasons.” You gave the cat an indulgent smile, while scratching behind his ears.

Damian crouched down and petted Alfred opposite you; time and silence span away together, when you glanced up at Damian he felt your attention and met your gaze.

His cheeks darkened slightly, “Are you having a good time?” His tone was quiet and a tinge self-conscious, it immediately hit you how much of himself Damian was giving you.

“Yes, I am enjoying myself a lot.” You gave him your best comforting smile and stood. “So where’s this barn you always tell me about?”

The walk to the barn felt like something out of a romance novel, the sun cast an amber glow over the emerald trees outside the manor, the hedges were trimmed to perfection with no inch unaccounted for. The wind blew gently, tousling red and orange leaves through the air, which accompanied the sweet music of the birds.

To make it even better was the man you were walking through this mini haven with- your sweet, kind Damian, who never failed to shock you with each layer that he pulled back, to reveal his golden heart.

“You’re gawking.” He remarked.

“I’m admiring.” You corrected as the painted red wood of the barn came into view, the barn itself was quite quaint, much smaller than a typical farmer’s.

From his coat pocket, Damian produced a worn, black key to open the padlock guarding the door. Once the padlock fell away and Damian opened the doors, you were greeted by the sight of the most elegant cow you’d ever seen.

As you walked in, Damian introduced you to her, “This is… B.C"

“Hmm,” you scratched underneath the cows nose, feeling victorious when she mooed in delight, "what does B.C stand for?"

Damian stiffened and instantly replied like a robot, “Best cow."

“Well.. she is truly beautiful.”

“I miss being warm.” Damian admitted, “Being human did have some advantages and that’s one I will never scorn again. The only remedy to my chill is the press of my fangs against your skin and the feeling of your blood in my mouth and veins. Should you let me… I’d like to feel warmth again.”

You gulped as you took in the words, this was dangerous territory you were stepping into, but a little voice inside urged you on, telling you that this was all you’d ever wanted. “I can make you feel hot.” You uttered darting a glance at his lips.

His eyes flashed for a moment with a dangerous eager gleam before he looked away. “I cannot control myself beyond a certain point beloved, I would never risk your life in such a way.”

“Because you need me to feel simple pleasures.” The words fell bitterly from your lips as you crossed your arms.

“Because I love you so.”

The confession made your lips and arms drop open, the rain still pattered against the window, the owl continued hooting outside, the World still carried on even though your perception of reality had been altered by a single sentence. But is it really fair of you to be so affected? His actions have screamed how much he cared for you, perhaps you’re just too emotionally blind to see it.

After all who’d want to admit they’re in love with a vampire?

“Damian.” You whispered, letting your hands glide to your hair and gently guiding it over one shoulder to give him access to your neck. “I would never want you to be cold.”

It was too much for you to admit the depths of your feelings for him, not while your mind was still stark and aware.

Damian took a pause making your breath hitch, the thought that you may have offended him made your chest tighten, but slowly he leaned towards you until his icy breath caressed the skin on your neck lovingly.

A twin shudder passed through both of you as his nose marked the spot that he would soon enough take blood from.

“Ready?”

“Ready.”

The sting of his fangs penetrated your sense of calm as your head fell back and a yelp of pain escaped your lips, but Damian’s waiting hand was poised to catch your head as he hungrily drank from your neck giving you the occasional groan to prove his pleasure.

Gradually you could feel his skin getting hotter and see a light blush returning to his cheeks, but as time grew longer your vision began to sting until it was only comfortable to keep your eyes closed. The thumping of your heartbeat and a high pitched sound invaded your neurones until it was all your panicked brain could process. Deep down you were aware that you were clutching onto Damian like a lifeline, who was holding you equally as tight.

Then the initial tsunami of sensation began to trickle into a more gentle flow, as you could feel the blood being drawn from you in controlled sips- Damian had never lost control before when taking your blood, but sometimes you noticed when he became even faster in his sucking.

Soon it felt like a simple hicky, but you knew better than that- Damian Wayne never did anything half way, every experience with him was enriched in desire and careful expertise.

He let the hand that wasn’t holding you in place smooth up and down the curvature of your torso, giving the occasional nip with his teeth to ensure you knew he still cared for your pleasure too. The blood was still being drained from you, but it was becoming so difficult to care. The only thing you wanted from him to continue and never stop.

One moan tumbled from your lips, then two, then three, suddenly all the sounds coming from your mouth were akin to the ones that you made whenever Damian used his hands to pleasure you.

“Damian.” You breathed out your body rolling with the rhythm that his was against yours.

“Yes?” The word was muffled as his mouth was still latched to your skin.

“Damian!” You whined desperately, planting your hands into his shoulders, which up until this point had been wondering his body like a hungry explorer.

“Beloved.” He whispered, taking the cue and removing his fangs from your person, then placing sweet, soft kisses on the wound as he traced your collar bone with his finger.

“Oh…”

“You did very well beloved, so perfect for me.” Damian praised carrying on with his tender movements across your skin.

Your hand searched for his finger and when you found it you smiled tiredly, “You’re warm…” Even though you’d be sore for the next couple days it would all be worth it if it made Damian happy, if it made his life a little easier to bare. Seeing his joyous grin made you feel elation you’d never felt before.

There was no point in hiding the fact anymore, not when his happiness was your own, “I love you Damian.”

“I love you too beloved.” Damian’s voice was uncharacteristically wobbly as your eyes blurred together, “Rest now…”

Your eyes shut with the last thing you saw being the star in your galaxy.

Everyone’s kinda confused an disturbed because … why would Jason get perfectly normal civilian reader a weapon ? Is he insane ! But they look up and she’s actually overjoyed

The manor was a beautiful place to be in at Christmas time, it wasn’t the decorations that made everything feel beautiful, but the atmosphere. There was a certain giddiness about the place, but also a tranquility that you didn’t typically feel from your interactions with the family.

The thick velvet curtains were thrown open, bathing the room in a white glow reflected from the snow covered grass outside. The fireplace cracked quietly as if also observing the temporary truce of letting go petty squabbles and long held grudges.

The smell of Alfred’s sweet hot chocolate filled the busy room, despite the living room itself being larger than a standard downtown Gotham apartment, the family somehow made it feel quaint and homely.

“This one’s from me babe.” Jason uttered, passing a crimson wrapped present towards you gently.

Smiling you took the box from Jason, it had the same weight of 3 or 4 phones stacked on top of each other and was a perfect rectangular shape.

Anticipation clothed your hands as you slowly peeled back the wrapping paper.

Jason smirked, “Don’t worry babe it’s not fragile, go full out.”

Eagerly you tore open the gift as everyone ‘ooooed’ at the jet black wooden box in your hands, there was a silver key hole and Jason quickly handed to you a matching key.

The lock clicked after you inserted the key and slowly opened the box to reveal the most gorgeous thing you’d ever seen (excluding Jason of course): there was a shiny silver dagger with a hilt encrusted with dazzling rubies and vine like engravings snaking up the shaft. The light glinted off the dagger illuminating the wild grin on your face.

Gleefully you smiled at Jason and for a moment it felt as though you two were the only people left in the World, this memory would just be yours until…

“What in the actual fuck is that.”

“It’s obviously a dagger Drake, it’s not the same design we used to ha-“

“Yeah duh,” Tim scoffed before turning towards you, “but y/n you’re a civilian!”

“Oh my gosh is that dried blood?” Stephanie cried and pointed with her finger, reeling back into Cass.

But their complaints were silenced as you flung yourself into Jason’s arms, “Oh Jason I love it!”

Jason’s deep chuckle muffled in your hair as he hugged you back just as tightly, “I’m glad you like it babe, I saw it a couple of months ago and immediately thought of you.”

“Aww Jason.” You peppered his face with kisses ecstatically already thinking of where you were going to put your new dagger and how you were going to properly thank Jason for it later.

“While this is touching can we put it away before Bruce gives us a lecture on knife safety?”

“Dagger safety Drake.”

“Shut up!”

And just like that the room exploded and the temporary ceasefire was over.
