people keep going on and on about how awful pierre and demetrius are when admittedly, their wives are also kinda bad? like they all kinda suck as parents and spouses... really should work on that... also something, something double standards or whatevers

specifically when it comes to their relationships with sebastian, i can't stand when people act like robin is blameless and demetrius is the only one at fault. if demetrius truly is neglecting seb (something i agree with), then robin is at least complicit by not doing anything to rectify that. it reeks of people being too blindsided or scared to have an actual discussion on neglect, because a character they like will be at fault

the mountain family just makes me sad... people (rightfully) get on demetrius' case for never acknowledging sebastian, but i've never seen robin acknowledge maru (hopefully i'm wrong and i'm only saying this is bc i don't talk to robin enough). maru wants to connect with seb but seb thinks she wants him gone... plus demetrius is really overprotective of maru (that combined with pierre and abigail + pam and penny makes me wonder why there's so many bad fathers in the game). no family is perfect of course, but a lot the mountain fam's issues could be solved by just talking to each other. but bc of the game's structure, it feels like they're forced to be this way forever...

To that anon talking about Caroline and robin being as bad as Pierre and Demetrius, I can’t agree. Caroline, yes. But Demetrius literally never acknowledges Sebastian one single time. Idk how anyone can think robin is on his level when the man pretends his stepson doesn’t exist and also was mean to me for hanging out with his daughter implying I wanted to date her even though I was already married to another player. I have sm beef with that dude. I’m autistic but if I was married to someone for that long I would know what kind of fruits they want -🍥

Pam should have a real redemption arc in Stardew fics. Not that slop where she goes to AA but only after losing her relationship with her daughter and still has no friends. I’m tired of “white trash” being treated like garbage just because they’re confident and like a little bit of liquor. Demetrius is bitchy too but only Pam gets criticized? Is it because Pam’s white?
