people keep going on and on about how awful pierre and demetrius are when admittedly, their wives are also kinda bad? like they all kinda suck as parents and spouses... really should work on that... also something, something double standards or whatevers

specifically when it comes to their relationships with sebastian, i can't stand when people act like robin is blameless and demetrius is the only one at fault. if demetrius truly is neglecting seb (something i agree with), then robin is at least complicit by not doing anything to rectify that. it reeks of people being too blindsided or scared to have an actual discussion on neglect, because a character they like will be at fault

It bothers me so much when someone says Leah is the bachelorette who you go to if you want to date Robin but can't (in vanilla). She is her own person, why do people keep delegating her to "knockoff Robin"? 🤨😒 Leah >>>>> Robin tbh. I don't understand fandom's obsession with Robin, she is not a character I personally like for various reasons. I haven't romanced Leah (yet) so I'm only going off of her friendship events, but I'm doing a new save currently and I'll probably romance her this time around, because her character has been calling to me.

To the Anon that talked about liking Demetrius and how they think he is just a very literal guy, I agree; But, I want to say that I don't like Robin because of how she reacts to him.

I genuinely don't understand why they are married. Every interaction with them together is Robin taking anything Demetrius says or does in instant bad faith.

You would think after years of marriage she would Know by now that he isn't trying to be rude or mean, he just wants to understand. I think Demetrius gets a bad rep because the fandom has a weird crush on Robin.

Okay, the discourse has sold me on Demetrius being a not so good partner and a bad dad.

But Robin ain't off the hook either. She helped perpetuate all this. She neglected Seb's actual issues and didn't do anything to curb the favoritism. Also, are we just going to forget she throws out his comic book collection? Comics aren't cheap to replace. Especially older prints. And those things can get EXPENSIVE. And she does does that without asking him!

And by this point she should know that Demetrius has something going on (whether it's ADHD/Autism/something else I don't know I'm not qualified to diagnose) and should have learned she needs to be specific with him.

Honestly, I don't agree with the fandom wanting to give them a divorce arc. Honestly, they deserve each other.

Seb and Maru need to move out and go live their best lives.

The best parent in the game is Linus.

Everyone else sucks and I give Kent the only pass cause he knows his issues and is trying but ptsd from war is no joke. That said I can’t give Shane the same pass cause he doesn’t bring Jas with him when he moves and leaves her in the back room behind the lit fireplace surrounded by hay in marines house. Demetrius is a helicopter parent with maru Robin is a helicopter parent with Sebastian (neither one of them will decide to do right by their fave kid by chilling out so the sibling rivalry can end) Pam… is Pam. Caroline blames Pierre but she’s the one constantly harping on Abby even complaining to a stranger about her daughters hair color and how strange she is. Pierre needs therapy his obsession with money seems fear based and it keeps him from being present more with Caroline and Abby, Jodi wtf is wrong with that woman. Perpetual victim. She wants her kids to stay young and innocent and she won’t even let them clean but freaks out over a spilled egg and then gets really weird during one of sams heart scenes that makes it sound like she busted in on him having private time and he’s supposed to be in his early 20’s like this is giving “boy mom” and I know people say oh it’s cause she didn’t want Kent to miss them growing up that’s so much worse actually, like legitimately its abuse to stunt your children’s growth for any reason. Haley and Emily’s parents are just gone. Marnie again fire safety but also her obsession with staring at the microwave. George and Evelyn homophobic and such a sweet old lady but should not be raising kids with this angry homophobic man. This is why Alex is the way he is.

And the wizard…. I mean just all of that doesn’t matter if his kid is Abby or Jas he’s terrible
