not "clint is a stinky incel" and not "clint is just an anxious baby who's never done anything wrong" but the third category of "clint has misogynistic tendencies like many other men in pelican town that he hasn't bothered to unlearn." alex is (or starts as) a douchey dudebro who assumes all women want him, pierre is an overbearing father figure overly attached to the nuclear family model, and clint doesn't understand that women are the same kind of person as him (you have to tell him he should treat women the same as men when he asks for dating advice). this doesn't mean that he can't change and become a better person but some people think that "misogynist" just means, like, andrew tate, and not the sort of man you talk to in your everyday life. you can just say you like clint you don't have to rewrite him into your perfect cute boy who has no flaws.
