ok but honestly why don’t we have representation for demiromantic/demisexuals, why aren’t we creating OCs with these attributes. it would honestly give your character so much depth and give them struggles to go through. do you know how refreshing it would be for demi’s, to see characters with the same confusion we constantly have, see them struggle through friendships debating whether they are feeling something for the person or if it’s just platonic. see characters lose friends bc the other person caught feelings but they weren’t ready/had that bond yet. see the character constantly hear the “oh you’ll change your mind,” talk.

i mean seriously not only does it add diversity to your character and represent demiromantics/sexuals but also you now have so many new conflicts and struggles that your character has to navigate through and it just gives them so much depth.

give more demi représentation, make us not feel alone in our constant mental battles about ourselves and how we are attracted to people. and same for everyone on the aspec

Star Wars A-spec Characters

So I think at least Luke and Sabine are somewhere on the aro/ace spectrum! Maybe Luke is greysexual and Sabine is demiromantic? I’d love to discuss and trade headcanons with anyone who’s interested!

every romantic/sexual relationship they have must feel so genuine, because they KNOW that person. this is someone they’ve spent a LOT of time with, they know SO MUCH about this person. when you know that much about your romantic/sexual partner, before you even get together, i personally feel like that just makes the relationship healthier. there’s no impulse, no sudden swooning, very low chance of failure. it’s calm, collected, calculated. you did the math for all that time to mathematically and scientifically determine if they were the one for you, and i think that’s beautiful.

So after learning more about myself, I have found that I am actually part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum. I'm proud to come out as demiromantic! This means that I do not experience romantic attractions for people unless I form a close emotional bond with them. I still, as a woman, have romantic feelings only for men, but only for those men that have really gained my trust and that I feel bonded with on a close emotional level. So consider me a heterosexual demiromantic. Anyway, I just thought this was a neat discovery about me. I hope to be welcomed into the LGBTQ+ community with open arms and to be able to understand people in the LGBTQ+ community better. 🙂
