Angel!Reader finds Demon!Genji close to death after his battle with Hanzo & saves his life for the monster thing pretty please!
a/n: here you go.
It was pointless of you to stick your nose in family business, even less of your business of demon’s, but one caught your attention and even our heart. Ignoring your divine orders, you found yourself drawn to a playful, jovial and oddly sweet if not a bit of a playboy demon known as Shimada Genji.
A demon from a very powerful family, but he still seeks you out just as you did with him. Finding one another’s company to be enjoyable you continued to meet with him, in secret ignoring the pain it would cause the two of you. The quite taps of your feet filled the room that was drenched in the scent of iron and rage.
Hanging on by the bare skin of his teeth was non-other than the very demon you would sneak off to meet and hang out with in secret. Body torn, bleeding and dying. Genji still dragged his broken body across the ground, slurring words of vengeance and hatred at his brother in his demon tongue.
The light in his eyes flickered, fading faster and faster before you reached out to cup his face with your hands. Light returned for a moment, the hatred and vengeance faded away as Genji leaned into your touch, murmuring soft words in his demon tongue followed by soft chitters before he kissed your hand.
“Ah, I wish that I could hold you in my arms one last time my Angel, but that is not to be.” Genji’s words broke your heart, speaking in his own tongue to spare you from the emotion behind his words. Shaking your head, you tilted his face to look up at you, determination burning in your eyes.
“Your life will not end here Genji, not while I’m around,” you whispered, leaning in till your lips were touching healing him and bringing him back from the brink of death to feel his lips moving against yours.
It was a wonderful feeling to see him smile, to see his eyes still alive (though anger was the thing lighting them) wrapping his arms around your waist you combed your hand through his hair. This was not the end for Genji, but his beginning.
