00q fic recs: wing fic
i have, interestingly, fallen into a rabbit hole of some sort involving wing fics of all things. (perhaps i just have an interest in seeing winged!q? who knows)
1. Lost or Flown Away by winterhill
Sherlock/Skyfall crossover. Wing shape and colour shouldn't mean anything, not in this enlightened age, but it does. Q had been quite happily passing as a blackbird until Sherlock threw himself off a building and didn't bother to fly.

as you might have guessed, i am also in the sherlock fandom, so this fic was quite a treat for me. i loved the concept to bits.
2. Safeguard This Hallowed Heart by blackidyll (@blackidyll)
In a world where breaking an angel's heart has dire consequences, James Bond (Double-O agent, consummate flirt and infamous heartbreaker) decides to court MI6's primary and only celestial being in residence – namely, the Quartermaster.
All of MI6, from the newest Q Branch recruit to M himself, takes exception to this.
(Canon fic, with the AU element that Q is an angel in addition to being the Quartermaster).

3. My Demons Play Well With Yours by Only_1_Truth
In the wake of the attack on MI6, M is ordered to clean house and strengthen her organization - so she goes and hires a demon. Demons are territorial, possessive, and this one also has some impressive technological skills. Many people in MI6 are against it. A demon for a Quartermaster?? Those opposed have one hope: James Bond. 007 has killed demons before - even a Duke of Hell. And now he's coming home...
No one is sure what will happen, but one thing is for sure: MI6 is about to become a hellishly interesting place...

ok technically not an obvious wing fic because q’s wings have been cut (voluntarily! i promise! no pitchforks needed!), but this au. BAMF!q is such a vibe and i love it when he holds his own against bond.
also also q and bond getting on immediately is so cute. in this branch we love qbond camaraderie.
