Concept for Demon Huntr/x I never see anyone talking about: Rumi is still half demon
30 years ago, the Sunlight Sisters were a small group hoping to make their names big, but it never worked. People didn't like their music, misogyny kept them from truly expressing themselves, so the leader, Celine, made a deal with Gwi-Ma. The Sunlight Sisters would be famous, and Gwi-Ma would get his cut by eating their fans.
As their demon traits overtook them, and more and more fans would disappear due to the feasting, the Hunters got alerted. This is when Mi-Yeong met the leader of the 5 hunters, a purple haired Pretty Boy, and she was hooked. They fell in love and Mi-Yeong got pregnant, but ultimately she betrayed him, leading to his death, the downfall of that generation of hunters (leading to the search for the Saja Boys), and to her fully becoming a demon alongside the Sunlight Sisters. After Rumi was born, Mi-Yeong was killed by the Hunters as revenge for their fallen friend, and Celine took over raising the half-demon baby in hell.
Rumi would tragically lament this to Hunter Jinu, me thinks
