I want to sleep; I need to sleep, but girlfriend.
Girlfriend. I can bite her now.
Pazuzu, demonically obsessing me: One of these days, you'll slip up and I'll find a way in to possess you.
Me: Nuh-uh. I get possessed by the big cheese, the Archangel Lucifer himself, or I don't get possessed at all.
Pazuzu: Are you saying what I think you're--
Me: Yes, I'm demanding to speak to your manager.
Diary of an Exorcist
CURSED BY HIS FATHER
(2-min read)
A man was going through a particularly rough patch. While he was not possessed, he had long been afflicted by what appeared to be demonic obsessions and unshakeable feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness. He was living an exemplary Christian life of holiness, but the mental torments continued and, under the stresses of his current life, had now grown debilitating.
He sought the help of a priest exorcist who recommended some deliverance praying, including seeing a woman who was a spiritual sensitive. They discerned that the man was indeed suffering demonic obsessions and one of the causes, to his surprise, included being cursed by his father. As a child, he was verbally abused on a number of occasions by his father who irrationally vented his rage against him: "Tell that g....d... kid to shut up!" He followed this with threats. The child felt frightened, worthless and rejected.
The team took him through several deliverance sessions which included forgiving his father and formally saying, "I reject the lie that I am a worthless child." Then they lifted any curses sent against him. By the time the sessions had ended, the man had regained his emotional equilibrium and found a new sense of inner peace.

Sunday Devotional: ‘unclean spirits came out of many possessed people’
Acts 8:5-8 Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed the Christ to them. With one accord, the crowds paid attention to what was said by Philip when they heard it and saw the signs he was doing. For unclean spirits, crying out in a loud voice, came out of many possessed people, and many paralyzed or crippled people were cured. There was great joy in that city. Exorcists often say real…

Exorcist Week: Demonic Possession
The world is no stranger to the idea of demonic possession. The first mention of it comes from thousands of years ago by the Sumerians who believed sickness of mind and body was caused by demons. Demonic possession continues to permeate culture today, from The Exorcist to modern TV shows. Whether or not it really exists is debatable, but here is what is known about this mysterious and terrifying phenomena. There are two types of demonic assault. There is obsession, and then there is possession. Obsessions is the milder of the two, using milder very loosely. It is an external attack on the victim(s), and bears many of the hallmarks of a normal haunting, so it can be hard to catch at first. Things may be moved, objects might go missing, sounds may be heard, and a range of electrical problems could occur. Thankfully, there are hallmarks to look out for. Things happening in sets of three, the peak of activity being around 3-3:30 am, and a focus on religious items being moved or disappearing can all be signs the haunting is demonic. The demon is out to simply wreak havoc on its victims in this case. A haunting that is intense in the extreme can also be a sign that what's haunting your house was never human. Possession is another matter entirely. Demonic possession is an internal assault on one or more victims rather than an external one. The possessed person may exhibit small signs at first and then progress to more obvious symptoms of possession, or the demon could come out swinging. Generally, people will become the target of demonic obsession, which then progresses to possession where the possession will get more intense as time goes on. The most common signs of demonic possession are convulsions or contortions of the body, speaking in tongues, distortion of the face, scratches on the body, superhuman strength, unusual tolerance to pain, spitting up blood, the person having knowledge they could not feasibly know, speaking in strange voices that the person should not be able to make (for example, a small girl speaking in a deep guttural voice), and intense dislike of religious objects. Another common sign is the utterance of blasphemies, although this may not be a reliable sign in some cases. For example, if the rebellious teenager next door with a history of attempts at “edginess” says something blasphemous, it is probably not any indication of demonic assault. However, if the elderly nun next door screams vulgarities about Jesus one night, it could be an indication of darker forces at play. It is important to note that some mental illnesses could result in possession-like symptoms, and these people do not need a priest. They need a mental healthcare professional. It is always the BEST first step to have someone who is acting under apparent demonic influence see a psychologist or other mental health worker before any religious action is taken. If the person comes back with a clean bill of mental health, steps may be taken to fight whatever other forces are at work. In cases of demonic obsession or possession, stick to whatever your religious practices are first. However, if things get worse in any way or progress into full on possession, it is advisable to contact your local Catholic priest. The Catholic church tends to be the specialists in exorcism, and have fairly high standards for proof of possession.
Woke up early because...
Immortal dolls, demonic babies, dark mazes, family curses, games with the Devil. Again. Fuck.
