lucifer: what are you most proud of?

This probably sounds really cliche, but I’m proud of the fact that I’ve gotten this far. I have a steady job that I like and am doing well in. I have great friends that I trust who have supported me through some really rough shit. I have enough confidence in who I am to fight my own anxiety on a regular basis. It’s not perfect but it’s a hell of a lot better than any realistic expectation I had for my own future.

leviathan: what do you believe lies in the unexplored areas of the ocean?

A whole bunch of shit we’re better off not knowing about. Kaiju, mantis shrimps, Atlantis, THERE ARE SHARKS THAT CAN SURVIVE VOLCANIC WATERS that is definitely a post i haven’t reblogged yet. Crazy shit lives in the ocean and we should probably avoid it.

Have I ever used my sexuality to get my way…?

Erm… Now that I think about it, yeah, I guess I have… Several times… but I’m not sure that’s appropriate to talk about here because it might make a certain someone uncomfortable… Should I really share? 

Baal: If you were a god, how would you prefer to be worshiped? 

Hm... That’s a hard one. Off the top of my head:

Biannual celebrations with varying traditions from culture to culture with festivals and feasts (think pagan solstice feasts/orgies/bonfires, Japanese matsuri, Indian Holi festivals, Brazilian Carnaval’s, etc) with wish making, food, masks, music, color and joy, occasionally paused for moments of more serious contemplation.

Gift sharing between loved ones, tree planting (or animal charity, anything benefiting non-human life), children’s laughter and charitable work (including sharing food with the hungry) would gather my praise.

Hate, shaming and discrimination not allowed. Under any circumstance. In fact in these celebration days people would be encouraged to learn about and experiment each other’s lifestyles and accept the things that make them different from each other.

And then, on the darkest hours of night, just before dawn, would be a time to contemplate and accept the darkness in our lives and ponder about karma and personal balance.

This is strictly under confidence--but if I’m completely honest, I must confess that I’m immensely satisfied with my marksmanship. I don’t use it, not against people, and I loathe to brag; but truthfully, a forty-six over forty-nine score is incredibly difficult. I can take pride in that.

Mephistopheles: have you ever helped  a loved one destroy themselves?

No, only because Hector is typically the one self-destructing. Some of his loved ones have helped him along the way–encouraging his vices, dismissing his pain by calling him ‘spoiled’ or ‘dramatic–though some far less deliberately than others.

ASK ME ABOUT MY DEMONS || ACCEPTING

Mammon: when were you most greedy & for what?

In the conventional (material) sense, Hector’s not really greedy. He’s been moderately wealthy for much of his life, but that disposable fortune means little to him. He’s way more of a glutton for attention. Hector laps it up in all its forms--affection, discipline, contempt--and gets anxious and/or depressed when he feels he’s being ignored or disregarded. This causes him to act out sometimes, either childishly or recklessly. He’ll take it out on himself, too, through drinking & drug use.

Lucifer: what are you most proud of?

Not much. For all his charm, Hector’s got little to no self worth. He takes accomplishments with a grain of salt, and is more likely to purposely fuck something up than see it through to completion when he starts to feel the pressures of commitment or perfection. 

That said, he’s very proud of the people he loves. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or lover, Hector feels pride vicariously through the success & happiness of the people he cares about. In verses where he has a son, this is especially apparent. 

Baal: if you were a god, how would you prefer to be worshiped?
