The fundamental exploitation of capitalism doesn’t come from a lack of healthcare or housing or expensive food prices. It comes from the extraction of surplus value. If any country that aimed to increase access to healthcare or created affordable housing was communist, fucking Norway would be communist. It’s not and there are deep issues wity these countries social democrats like to throw about as pinnacles of progress.
If your socialist country does not eliminate the extraction of surplus value or is not on the way to doing this - it's not socialist. Workers, even under communism, will not receive 1-1 what they put in (see Critique of the Gotha Program) but surplus value - the backbone of all previous societies - will not be given to someone who just so happens to own the means of production. Surplus will be shared and enjoyed by society as a whole.
If your “socialist” country has fucking BILLIONAIRES who are entitled to surplus value because they just so happen to own the means of production it is, on the very basis of the idea, not socialist.
I don’t understand what is so hard to get about that.
